Summer party: cocktail party

La mia regola generale per qunto riguarda l'abbigliamento è che è sempre meglio evitare il rischio di esagerare, soprattutto se si tratta di eventi formali o semi-formali. 
Se ad esempio siete state invitate ad un evento serale e non siete sicure se si tratti di un'incontro informale oppure di un cocktail party, sarebbe preferibile scegliere un'abito di buona fattura e qualità che vi stia a pennello senza però strafare con stampe, paillettes o trasparenze .  
Ovviamente di solito se si tratta di un evento formale, è indicato sull'invito perciò il problema non si pone. Ma l'abbigliamento da cocktail può essere tranquillamente adottato anche per un'invito a cena o un drink con le amiche o i colleghi di lavoro. Fondamentalmente, è adatto qualsiasi evento serale un pò speciale. 
Un modo semplice per apparire subito più sofisticate? Occhio al tessuto!
Un tessuto dall bella trama, con una lucentezza particolare o delle belle rifiniture vi farà guadagnare immediatamente in eleganza. Ad esempio, se provate ad indossare qualcosa che ha la stessa forma di una T-shirt, ma in un tessuto prezioso, apparirete subito super chic. 
Quindi escludete jersey, cotone e lino, tutti questi tessuti sono troppo casual. 
Cos'altro non dovrebbe mai essere indossato ad un cocktail party? Ovviamente il jeans. 
Un altro grande errore che spesso capita di vedere sono le tote bags o le borse da giorno. Queste rovinano subito tutto il look: scegliete clutch o shoulder bags piccoline con dettagli preziosi, valorizzeranno tutto l'outfit. 
Come scegliere un'abito da cocktail? Un tubino nero è sempre vincente. 
Scegliete un taglio semplice che vi doni e in un tessuto di qualità.
Poi potrete divertirvi a giocare con gli accessori per adattarlo alla varie occasioni scegliendo ad esempio se abbinarvi tacchi alti o ballerine.  
Completate il look con un trench o una pashmina, e sarete perfette. 
Se invece preferite andare oltre il tubino nero, provate a giocare con il colore o i materiali. 
Ci sono diversi modi per rendere interessante il vostro outfit: attraverso il colore, il materiale, la stampa o la lucententezza: può essere un'abito dal tessuto luccicante o una gonna a balze o una morbida pashmina. 
Il colore è poi un grande alleato per valorizzare la bellezza di una donna, basta ricordarsi prendere in considerazione le tonalità della pelle e colore dei capelli. Trovate qualcosa che vi sia davvero complementare e vedrete! ;)
Per finire ricodate che uno stile che dona alla maggior parte delle donne è quello a vita leggermente alta, nel quale la linea della cintura del vestito è solo un po 'superiore a quella vita naturale: in questo modo la parte inferire dell'abito cadrà ad A allungando le gambee coprendo eventualment e fianchi o pancetta un pò pronunciati.

My rule of thumb is it’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed, especially in formal or semi-formal events.
So if you have an event to go to and you are not sure if it’s casual or cocktail, it’s always better to dress up than dress down. 
Obviously, if you are invited to a formal event, it’s indicated on the invitation. But cocktail attire is also worn if you are going to dinner or drinks with the girls or co-workers or date night. Basically, any event that is more special.

What's an easy way to look more dressed up? Fabric. 

Try a fabric that is a more upscale with a sheen to the finish or something like a satin or silk blouse. For example, you can wear something that is in the shape of a T-shirt, but if it’s done in a beautiful fabric, then you’ll look dressed up. Nothing in jersey, nothing in cotton, nothing in linen. All those fabrics are too casual.

What other things should you never wear? Obviously, jeans. 

Another big mistake women make is carrying a huge tote or a bag that you would use during the day. This will dress down your look.

What are the staples for a cocktail dress? A little black dress is always good to have. 

Get a cut that is really timeless, that is really flattering to your body type, and in a beautiful fabric. You want it to be able to carry you through the next five years.

 It can be dressed up with accessories or it can be dressed down with cute ballet flats. You should also have a dressier trench coat and pashmina.

If you want to move away from a little black dress and want to play with color or materials.

There are several ways to bring interest into your outfit. That can be through color, texture, pattern or shine. 

This can be shine on the fabric of the dress or a flouncy skirt or soft textured pashmina. Color is great, you just have to take into account your skin tones and hair color. Find something that really complements you. 

A style of dress that is very flattering on most women is where the waistline of the dress is just a little higher than your natural waistline and falls into an A-line skirt.

City girls: something glam

Lo stile glam è uno stile che nasce nell'ambiente musicale degli anni '70 e si è diffuso soprattutto nelle grandi cittá come New York prima, Londra e Parigi (anche se con qualche differenza) poi.
Successivamente questo stile è andato sempre più distaccandosi dal mondo musicale per divenire parte integrante del fashion system.
Il termine glam deriva dal'aggettivo "glamour", ovvero un tipo di abbigliamento colorato, curato e molto appariscente, in cui dettagli ed accessori giocano un ruolo dominante, che negli ultimi anni, in seguito all'importanza che il vintage ha ritrovato, è tornato di moda.
A mio parere questo stile è perfetto per la vita cittadina, soprattutto per le donne che lavorano in ufficio, coniuga stile ed originalità senza essere volgare e dona un'allure così sicura e sofisticata che tira decisamente su il morale, non credete anche voi? :)

Glam style is a style that was born in the 70's musical environment and has spread mainly in big cities like New York, London and Paris (with few differences).

In my opinion this style is perfect for city life, especially for career women, it combines style and originality without being vulgar and gives a secure and sophisticated allure that definitely push your mood, don't  you think? :)

Bè dopo che per tutta la settimana vi ho "accecato" con oro, seta e colori brillanti, per concludere vi lascio con qualcosa di meno sgargiante ma ugualmente sofisticato ed intrigante: nero, pizzo e trasparenze... d'altra parte anche questi sono capi che non possono mancare nell'armadio di una vera "rich girl", non credete? ;)

1 - Adoro tutto ciò che è bello nel senso più classico del termine (infatti non amo molto l'arte moderna e contemporanea)

3 - Odio le cose che mi scottano la lingua: fosse anche anche tè o cioccolata, non le sopporto proprio!

6 - Da piccola volevo fare la ballerina, ho fatto danza classica per 4 anni, poi ho dovuto lasciare per mancanza di tempo :(
7 - Non amo la cucina etnica, l'unica che mi piace è quella giapponese (in particolare il Sashimi!)
8 - Certe volte sono testardissima e non sento ragioni!
9 - Ho i piedi delicatissimi, le scarpe mi fanno sempre tutte male
10 - Odio gli aghi, infatti non ho mai fatto i buchi alle orecchie o tatuaggi

meet me at midnight

Uno degli aspetti che mi piace di più del gioco della moda è l'infinita variante di possibilità che ci offre continuamente di reinterpretare i nostri vestiti, regalandoci così l'opprtunità di dare nuova vita a capi  "etichettati"  ai quali abbiamo già atribuito un ruolo ben preciso nel nostro abbigliamento quotidiano.
Così il gilet e Borsalino sull'abito da sera, la giacca di pelle da motociclista sull'abitino di chiffon, l'intimo a vista, ecc.
Certo anche in questo caso, a meno che il nuovo "ruolo" del capo non sia stato già  collaudato, un bel margine di rischio di cadere nel cattivo gusto esiste eccome, ma d'altra parte è prorpio questo il bello, no? Cercare di trovare la soluzione perfetta e del tutto inaspettata utilizzando i nostri soliti vestiti, dando libero sfogo alla nostra fantasia e sperimentando senza paura anche sapendo di stare sul filo del rasoio! ;)

The thing I like most of the fashion game is the endless possibilities that continually it offers us to reinterpret our clothes, thus giving us the chance to give new life to items "labeled", to whom we attributed a role  in our everyday clothing. 

So the vest and the Borsalino on the gown, the leather jacket on the chiffon dress, the intimate on sight, etc.. 

Certainly in this case, if the new "role" of the item has not been previously tested, a good degree of risk of falling into bad taste does exist, but then this is the best part, no? Trying to find the perfect and totally unexpected solution with our usual clothes, giving free rein to our fantasy and experimenting without fear even knowing being on the cutting edge! ;)
