Se pensavamo che il 2020 post-Covid fosse destinato a rispecchiare i ruggenti anni Venti, con champagne a colazione e paillettes anche per una corsa al supermercato, beh, a quanto pare, ci sbagliavamo. 

Già dopo lo scoppio della guerra in Ucraina, le collezioni hanno visto la moda sfavillare un po' meno energicamente. 

Era tutto come al solito – ma un senso di ansia aleggiava (ancora) nell'aria. 

Forse è per questo che i cappotti neri rigorosi hanno fatto sentire la loro presenza sobria, insieme alle classiche camicie bianche, abbinate però in una miriade di modi ingegnosi (buone notizie se ne avete già una nel guardaroba). 

Idem per i look aziendali che mescolano spalle importanti con abiti gessati e cravatte: se non sapevate come vestirvi per una promozione, non avrete problemi. 

Allo stesso tempo le passerelle hanno però anche cantato le lodi di audaci look metallizzati, come quelli visti da Coach a Gucci.

E non dovete neppure scegliere da che parte stare con questa tendenza; qualsiasi colore andrà bene. 

Che sia oro glamour, argento sensuale o un ventaglio di rame o bronzo… 

Iniziate con un paio di jeans metallizzati e sovrapponeteci una maglia scintillante. E completate il tutto con un trench ed accessori classici.

If we thought the post-Covid 2020s were set to mirror the Roaring Twenties, with Champagne for breakfast and sequins for the supermarket run, well, we were wrong. 

After more than one year on from the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the collections found fashion wringing its hands a little less energetically. 

It was business as usual – and big, ballsy 1,000-capacity-fashion-show business at that. But a sense of anxiety still hung in the air.

Perhaps that’s why strict black coats made their sober presence felt, along with classic white shirts styled in myriad ingenious ways (good news if you have one in your wardrobe already). 

Ditto corporate-infused looks blending shoulders that could fill trading floors with pinstriped suits and ties – if a financial crisis is on the cards, you may as well dress for promotion.

The runways have been singing the praises of bold metallics like seen on Coach to Gucci. 

You don’t have to pick a side with this trend; any color will do. 

Are you gilded gold, sensual silver or more of a copper or bronze fan? Start with a pair of metallic jeans and layer on the charm with shining sweaters. 

Top it off with a trench coat. The more metallic accessories you add, the better.
