Bows and Embroideries Are The Hit Trend of This Winter

Sebbene la fanciullezza sia da tempo un tema ricorrente nella moda, quest'anno ha preso il sopravvento con una nuova forza. 

Dal ritorno dell'estetica balletcore all'ossessione  per la Barbiemania, le tendenze dell'autunno/inverno 2024 sono state tutte incentrate sulle reliquie del vestire infantile. 

E fiocchi e ricami sono solo l'ultimo sfizio femminile a conquistare i riflettori.

Questa stagione, gli ornamenti carini si sono visti ovunque: il marchio londinese Simone Rocha ha sfoggiato accessori per capelli con nastri lunghissimi e delicati, mentre la griffe Balmain ha adottato un approccio "grandioso" con fiocchi di dimensioni XL che decorano maglioni di lana e camicette. 

Sandy Liang ha fatto del motivo del fiocco una firma, inserendolo su qualsiasi cosa, dai classici bottoni e ballerine alle borse a tracolla e alle fasce per capelli (più recentemente, il marchio è entrato anche nella categoria degli articoli per la casa, con un tappeto per l'ingresso decorato con un grande fiocco).

Al di fuori delle passerelle, la tendenza è stata avvistata su celebrità come Olivia Rodrigo, che ha scelto uno sfavillante mini abito Chanel del 1994 ornato di fiocchi. 

Oppure al Met Gala 2023, dove la star di Euphoria Sydney Sweeney ha sfoggiato fiocchi neri oversize tra i capelli e sul suo abito Miu Miu.

Though girlhood has long been a recurring theme in fashion, this year, it has taken over with a new force. 

From the return of the balletcore aesthetic to the Barbiemania obsession, the fall/winter 2024 trends were all about relics of childhood dressing. 

Bows and embroideries are the latest girly trend to take the spotlight.

This season, the cutesy adornments were everywhere: London-based brand Simone Rocha showcased extra-long, dainty ribbon hair accessories, while designer label Balmain took a grandiose approach with XL-sized bows decorating wool sweaters and pussy-bow blouses. 

Sandy Liang has made the bow motif a signature of the New York-based brand, putting it on everything from classic button-ups and ballet flats to shoulder bags and headbands (more recently, the label entered the homeware category, which included an entryway rug decked out in one long bow.) 

Off the runway, the trend has been spotted on celebs like Olivia Rodrigo, who sported a glitzy Chanel 1994 mini dress adorned with bows on a night out. Or at the 2023 Met Gala, Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney donned oversized black bows in her hair and on her Miu Miu gown.
