Le passerelle di questa stagione sono state piene di momenti di glamour e di lucentezza, dalle silhouette a clessidra ai tagli svolazzanti.

• Spalle audaci
• L'opulenza degli anni Ottanta ha fatto capolino in passerella attraverso la spallina che ha segnato l'epoca e che è tornata senza mezzi termini. Spalline esagerate sono state avvistate da Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler e Saint Laurent, dove il direttore creativo Anthony Vaccarello le ha spinte a nuovi estremi.
• Il mondo mod
• L'estetica spaziale di metà secolo sta ispirando registi (vedi Asteroid City di Wes Anderson) e stilisti. Paco Rabanne ha rivisitato la sua iconica Unwearable Collection degli anni '60, Simone Rocha ha sperimentato una moderna fantasia medievale con maglie di metallo e Courrèges ha giocato con mini e tagli a forma di luna piena.
• Pantaloni larghi
• I pantaloni larghi saranno una gradita aggiunta al guardaroba soprattutto per chi è ancora diffidente sul ritorno dei pantaloni troppo sartoriali. Tutt'altro che sciatti, i pantaloni slouchy di questa stagione danno un tocco da skater collegiale se abbinati a capi sartoriali alla Gucci, Bottega Veneta e Ralph Lauren.
• Cravatte
• Pur rimanendo fedele alla sua forma austera, la cravatta è stata utilizzata per arricchire gli smoking da Dolce & Gabbana, oltre a conferire nuove dimensioni al classico abbinamento camicia e gonna da Dior e Valentino.
• Pantaloncini corti
• Pantaloncini corti o biancheria intima? Non importa, purché la lunghezza sia micro e permetta di mostrare le gambe. Che si tratti dell'athleisure di Miu Miu o dell' abbigliamento da ufficio di Andreas Kronthaler per Vivienne Westwood e Ferragamo, i pantaloncini (molto, molto corti) ci hanno sedotto con la loro versatilità.
• Graziosi fazzoletti da collo
• Il fazzoletto da collo ha giocato con volumi elaborati e ton sur ton da Balenciaga, Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello e Andreas Kronthaler per Vivienne Westwood per offrire un'interpretazione più romantica del trend della cravatta.
• LBD (con un nuovo twist)
• Questi non sono i soliti abitini neri. Il prossimo inverno, il LBD confermerà la sua reputazione di capo statement grazie alle declinazioni grafiche viste da Alexander McQueen, Loewe e Louis Vuitton.
• Pieghe
• Uno dei modi più semplici per elevare un look: il plissé tornerà prepotentemente in autunno. Sia che optiate per una piega morbida e drappeggiata alla Loewe o per una piega più intricata e fitta come quella di Paco Rabanne e Rokh, è un ottimo modo per aggiungere un senso di texture senza complicare eccessivamente un look con vari tessuti o strati diversi. Mantenete il resto dell'abbigliamento relativamente monocromatico per lasciare che sia il plissé a parlare.
• Il nuovo peplo
• Allacciate le cinture, gente, perché non avete letto male: Il peplum è ufficialmente tornato sulla mappa della moda! E che vi piaccia o meno, fareste bene a non trascurare il look di questa stagione. Creando una bella silhouette, la tradizionale forma fit-and-flare del peplum lo rende universalmente lusinghiero, ed è un ottimo modo per vestire un look altrimenti troppo sobrio.
• Collant in vista
• Mentirei se dicessi che non mi piacciono tutte queste tendenze all'insegna della praticità che emergono dalle passerelle. Il prossimo passo sono i collant. Non quelli sottili e nude, né il funzionale paio nero che si indossa ogni volta che la temperatura scende. No, questi sono collant che fanno gridare al miracolo e che sono stati creati per essere sfoggiati. I rossi brillanti sono stati presenti su tutte le passerelle di questa stagione, ma in questo campo non ci sono davvero regole. Rosso, blu, rosa, verde, bianco... ce n’è per tutte!.

This season’s runways were filled with statement-making glamour and high-shine moments, from larger-than-life silhouettes to liberating cuts.

• Bold Shoulder
• Nineteen-eighties opulence reared its head on the runway via the era-defining shoulder pad, which is back in an outrageously big way. These exaggerated épaules were spotted at Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler and Saint Laurent, where creative director Anthony Vaccarello pushed them to a new extreme.
• A Mod World
• The mid-century space-age aesthetic is inspiring filmmakers (see: Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City) and fashion designers alike. Paco Rabanne revisited its iconic 1960s Unwearable Collection, Simone Rocha experimented with a modern medieval-chain-mail fantasy and Courrèges played with minis and full-moon-shaped cut-outs.
• Slouch
• Loose-fitting trousers are a welcome wardrobe addition for anyone who’s still wary of the return of hard pants. Far from sloppy, this season’s slouchy slacks are giving collegiate skater boy when paired with tailored separates à la Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Ralph Lauren.
• Neckties
• While keeping true to its austere form, the tie was also used to enhance a tuxedo ensemble at Dolce & Gabbana, as well as lending new dimensions to a shirt paired with a skirt at Dior and Valentino.
• Short shorts
• Short shorts or underwear? It hardly mattered as long as the lengths were micro-short and let you show off your legs. Whether it was athleisure at Miu Miu or officewear at Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood and Ferragamo, the (very, very short) shorts seduced us with their versatility.
• Pretty neckerchiefs
• The neckerchief played with elaborate volumes and matching shades at Balenciaga, Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, and Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood to deliver a more romantic interpretation of the tie trend.
• LBDs (with a twist)
• These aren't your average little black dresses. Next winter, the LBD will confirm its reputation as a fashion statement thanks to the graphic declinations seen at Alexander McQueen, Loewe, and Louis Vuitton.
• Pleating
• One of the simplest ways to elevate a look, pleating is back in a big way come autumn. Whether you opt for a soft, draped pleat à la Loewe or a more intricate, dense pleat like Paco Rabanne and Rokh, it's a great way to add a sense of texture without overcomplicating a look through various different fabrics or layers. Keep the rest of your outfit relatively monochrome in order to let the pleating do the talking.
• The New Peplum
• Buckle up, folks, because you didn't misread that. The peplum is officially back on the fashion map, and whether or not you were into them first time around you'd be wise not to disregard the look this season. Creating a beautiful silhouette, the traditional fit-and-flare shape of a peplum piece renders it universally flattering, and is a great way to dress up an otherwise more understated look.
• Tights In Sight
• We'd be lying if we said we weren't into all of these practicality-first trends emerging from the designer catwalks. Next up, it's tights. Not the subtle nude ones, or the functional black pair you reach for every time the temperature dips into single digits. No, these are shout-about-it, out-there pairs of tights that were made to be seen. Bright reds were all over the runways this season, but there really are no rules here. Red, blue, pink, green, white… we're here for them all.
