F/W 2023/24 FASHION TRENDS FROM THE FASHION SHOWS: The Textiles

Un miscuglio di stili, colori e materiali per realizzare look stratificati rappresentano la nuova sofisticatezza e, al tempo stesso, risultano anche efficaci per affrontare le stagioni più fredde (sempre più incerte), dove i tessuti la fanno da padrone.

• Pelliccia
• Audaci e bellissimi, i divertenti capispalla in ecopelliccia dell'autunno ci faranno stare al caldo e comode. Marchi come Stella McCartney, MSGM, Gucci e Loewe hanno introdotto dei morbidissimi topper in technicolor che ci faranno sicuramente sentire a posto con la dopamina per tutto l'inverno.
• Paillettes
• I ruggenti anni '20 sono in pieno svolgimento e l'abbigliamento da festa è sotto i riflettori. I capi scintillanti hanno rubato la scena a Rick Owens e Michael Kors, dove le paillettes color vino hanno brillato, mentre Alexander McQueen ha mandato in passerella dee grondanti di frange lucenti.
• Pizzo per eccellenza
• Il pizzo c'era, ma quasi solo in nero. L'abbigliamento da sera ha fatto sfoggio della bellezza dei dettagli trasparenti e dell'impeccabile maestria del pizzo di Gucci, Off-White e Balenciaga.
• Doppio denim
• Abbiamo avuto una doppia visione del denim, indossato come un total look o in singoli pezzi. Unica regola: abbinarlo a tonalità simili per ottenere un look impeccabile. Sbiancati, grezzi, decostruiti o abbinati a capi sartoriali, i jeans sono stati l'ultima dichiarazione della stagione da Ami, Y/Project e Versace.
• Piume
• Le piume sono leggere e ariose, sia di giorno che di notte, e hanno aggiunto un tocco fashion alle silhouette delle star alle sfilate di Valentino, Gucci e Loewe.
• Trasparenze
• Il trasparente rimane un trend forte - sorpresa - e le collezioni della stagione 2024 indicano tutte lo stesso modo di indossarlo: con una gonna delicata abbinata a capi classici che ne compensano la sensualità.
• La pelle innovativa
• Sebbene la pelle sia un punto fermo delle collezioni di prêt-à-porter, sono pochi gli stilisti che creano nuove proposte con essa. Tuttavia, questa stagione questo materiale viene rinnovato da numerose griffe e case. Da Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière vi ricama sopra dei fiori o vi incide delle scanalature per creare delle texture, mentre Chanel la tampona meticolosamente per imitare i petali di camelia su un cappotto e Jil Sander imprime il logo del marchio su una giacca da motociclista blu elettrico. Un'altra forte tendenza che emerge da queste sfilate Autunno/Inverno 2023-2024 sono le pelli drappeggiate e sensuali.
• Metallo liquido
• Il metallo viene proposto quasi ogni inverno grazie alla sua forte associazione con la stagione delle feste, ma per il 2023 non si tratta solo di luccichio, ma anche di quantità e collocazione. Mentre le stagioni precedenti hanno dato il benvenuto a spruzzi d'argento qui e a esplosioni di paillettes là, per l'autunno/inverno 2023/4 non ci si può trattenere, perché il look richiede un'interpretazione completa del metallo liquido. a mix of styles, colors, and materials create layered looks that recall the new sophisitcation and, at the same time, prove to be effective for facing the colder seasons (which are increasingly uncertain) , where fabrics are the masters.

•  Fur
• Bold and beautiful, fall’s fun faux-fur outerwear has us feeling warm and fuzzy. Brands like Stella McCartney, MSGM, Gucci and Loewe have all introduced some very fluffy technicolour toppers that are sure to keep dopamine dressing going strong throughout the winter.
• Glitter
• The roaring ’20s are in full swing, and partywear is hogging the spotlight. Glittering garments stole the show at Rick Owens and Michael Kors, where wine-hued sequins shimmered, while Alexander McQueen sent goddesses dripping in shiny fringe down the runway.
• Ultimate laceworks
• There was lace, but it came in black only. Eveningwear reveled in the beauty of sheer details and impeccable lace craftsmanship at Gucci, Off-White, and Balenciaga.
• Double denims
• We had denim double vision - worn as a total look. The only rule of thumb: combine it with similar shades to achieve a flawless look. Whether it was bleached, raw, deconstructed, or showcased with sharp tailoring, jeans were the season's ultimate statement at Ami, Y/Project, and Versace.
• Feathers
• Feathers are light and airy, by day and by night, and they added a fashionable touch to the star silhouettes at the Valentino, Gucci, and Loewe shows.
• Sheer
• Sheer is here to stay—shocker—and the resort 2024 collections all point to the same way to wear it: via a delicate skirt styled with classic staples that offset its sultry feel.
• The Innovative Leather
• Although leather is a staple of ready-to- wear collections, few are the designers who create new proposals with it. However, the fabric is being renewed by numerous labels and houses this season. At Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière embroiders flowers on it or grooves it to create textures, while Chanel meticulously pads it to imitate camellia petals on a coat, and Jil Sander embosses it in the shape of the label’s logo on an electric blue biker jacket. Another strong trend emerging from these Fall/Winter 2023-2024 shows are the draped and sensual leathers. Innovation goes even further at Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen, which both demonstrate their ability to work with leather in order to give an impression of denim, cotton, wool, or poplin, and create unsettling trompe-l’oeil effects. At last, the shine and fluidity of leather stem from satin at the Stella McCartney and Courrèges shows.
• Liquid Metal
• Metallics come around almost every winter thanks to its strong association with party season, but for 2023 it's not solely about the shimmer but also about the quantity and the placement. While previous seasons have welcome splashes of silver here and bursts of sequin there, for autumn/winter 2023 there's no holding back as the look requires a full liquid metal take on the trend. Head-to-toe, it needs to look as though the metallic sheen is dripping from your every limb. Extra? Us? Never.
