FALL WINTER 2023/24 FASHION TRENDS FROM THE CATWALKS

 TENDENZE MODA AUTUNNO INVERNO 2023/24

Se le stagioni Autunno/Inverno 2022-2023 e Primavera/Estate 2023 sono state una vera e propria presa di coscienza degli anni Duemila e delle (famigerate) sperimentazioni stilistiche di questo decennio della moda, l'Autunno/Inverno 2023-2024 è tornato all'essenza stessa della moda con iterazioni più raffinate, celebrando la libertà di movimento pur rimanendo fedele allo spirito del tempo. 

Le collezioni sono sempre per lo più dedicate all'abbigliamento quotidiano, ma sono spariti i capi troppo casual, pratici e/o tecnici, sostituiti da un approccio più chic, soprattutto per quanto riguarda gli abiti da sera. 

In termini di colore, il beige, in tutte le sue diverse sfumature, promette eleganza, mentre le tonalità sorbetto infondono alle collezioni invernali una gradita dose di energia, che le ha rese più alla moda (e allegre) che mai.

• La silhouette a clessidra si è affermata per tutta la stagione, ma da quando Gigi Hadid ha sfilato sullo sfondo delle colline di Hollywood al crepuscolo in un tailleur nero di Versace con la vita modellata ad imitare le proporzioni di Sophia Loren, la tendenza si è definitivamente consolidata. 
• Cinture grosse hanno stretto i capospalla di Max Mara, Alaïa e Schiaparelli; altrove gli stilisti hanno cercato di compensare le spalle larghe con una vita sartoriale ordinata e cinture sottili come abbiamo visto da Louis Vuitton e Chanel.
• Stivali grossi di vari colori, stivali al ginocchio e sopra il ginocchio fanno parte delle tendenze della moda autunno-inverno 2023/2024. Sono tutti tipi di stivali: eleganti, comodi e funzionali, qualunque sia il tempo.

While the Fall/Winter 2022-2023 and Spring/Summer 2023 seasons were a real takeover of the 2000s and the (infamous) style experiments of this fashion decade, Fall/Winter 2023-2024 returned to the very essence of fashion with even more refined desires, celebrating freedom of movement all the while staying true to the spirit of the times. 

The collections remained dedicated to daily wear but gone were the casual, practical, and/or technical pieces replaced instead, with a chic approach, and this was particularly true of evening wear. 

In terms of color, beige, in all its varying nuances, promised elegance, while sorbet-colored hues infused the winter collections with a welcome dose of vitamins, that made them even more fashionable (and cheerful) than ever.

• The hourglass silhouette had been building momentum all season, but then Gigi Hadid strutted out against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills at twilight in a black Versace skirt suit, its waist moulded to mimic Sophia Loren’s proportions, and the trend was cemented. 
• Chunky belts cinched things in at Max Mara, Alaïa and Schiaparelli; elsewhere designers sought to offset wide shoulders with neat tailored waists and skinny belts at Louis Vuitton and Chanel.
• Chunky boots in various colours, knee boots and over-the-knee boots are all part of the autumn and winter fashion trend of 2023/2024. They tick all the boxes by being stylish, comfortable and functional whatever the weather throws at you.
