L'era Y2K è il nickname del decennio successivo all'anno 2000. 

Questo periodo lo si fa partire circa dalla fine degli anni '90, in corrispondenza con la crescente popolarità di Internet e del boom tecnologico mondiale. 

Questa era della moda, insomma, rifletteva i progressi tecnologici attraverso capi argentati, tessuti futuristici e collezioni ispirate a film come The Matrix. 

L'era Y2K è caratterizzata anche da pantaloni bootcut e oversize, scarpe con plateau, stampe di loghi e accessori minuscoli.

• Magliette striminzite
• Le t-shirt piccolissime sono una delle tendenze più amate dei primi anni 2000. In genere, queste tshirt erano tagliate sopra l'ombelico e avevano una vestibilità più alta sul petto. Si pootevano trovare con citazioni bizzarre, personaggi o motivi sul davanti o grafiche degli iconici marchi Y2K come Fiorucci o Juicy Couture. Oggi, abbinatele a un paio di jeans larghi, una gonna a pieghe o dei jeans tagliati: è un'opzione versatile che si adatta a quasi tutto.
• Materiali lucidi
• Con il boom tecnologico nei primi anni 2000, la moda futuristica è improvvisamente diventata di grande tendenza. Ma i materiali lucidi in tonalità argentate o perlate sono anche un ottimo modo per far risaltare un outfit e aggiungere un tocco nostalgico al look. Provate ad es. un giubbotto o un paio di pantaloni metallici e indossateli con altri colori vivaci come il rosa, l'azzurro o il viola. • La prima borsa "it" è tornata ed è più in voga che mai. L'iconica borsa baguette è un vero simbolo dell'estetica Y2K, grazie anche all’ondata di popolarità che le diede Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. Queste piccole borse si annidano sotto il braccio e sono l'accessorio perfetto da abbinare all’abbigliamento quotidiano. Per un'atmosfera davvero nostalgica, potete optare per una Louis Vuitton Pochette vintage o una Fendi Baguette: le tonalità pastello sono un'ottima opzione per gli amanti dell'epoca. Se invece preferite i tocchi futuristici, le borse a tracolla in colori metallici e tessuti lucidi si adatteranno bene a quasi tutti gli outfit.
• Minigonne a pieghe colorate
• I primi anni 2000 hanno abbracciato completamente lo stile "Bratz Dolls", che includeva micro gonne colorate a pieghe. Ma potete trovare lo stile che si adatta meglio a ognuna di voi: che vi piacciano le micro-mini o un po' più lunghe, è tutto incentrato sull’estetica “cute”. This name began in the late 90s, thanks to the increasing popularity of the internet and the worldwide technology boom. 

In the lead up to the year 2000, there was some concern that calendars wouldn't be able to format the date properly following 1999 - it is commonly referred to as the Y2K bug. 

This era in fashion reflected technological advancements, seen with silver clothing, futuristic fabrics, and collections inspired by films like The Matrix. 

The Y2K era is also characterized by oversized flared pants, platform shoes, designer logo prints, and small accessories.

• Baby Tees
• The teeny-tiny t-shirts are some of the cutest trends from the early 2000s to make a comeback. Typically, these shirts are cropped above the belly button and are higher fit across the chest. You can find tops with quirky quotes, cute characters or patterns on the front, or graphics of the iconic Y2K brands like Fiorucci or Juicy Couture. Style these with a pair of loose-fitting jeans, pleated skirt, or denim cut-offs – it’s a versatile option for your wardrobe and suits almost anything.
• Shiny Materials
• With the tech boom in the early 2000s, the idea of futuristic fashion was a huge trend.
