Quando Pantone ha rilasciato l’annuncio ufficiale dei colori di tendenza dell’anno, l'attenzione è subito sembrata concentrata su tonalità senza tempo e molto basiche, come il blu classico, il rosso samba e il mandorla.

Questi colori tuttavia non vengono più considerati dei toni noiosi, ma dei classici indossabili che non passano di moda e che possono essere facilmente incorporati in quasi tutti i guardaroba. 

È un cambiamento che si adatta bene con l’attuale movimento che tende a passare dal fast fashion sempre più verso guardaroba durevoli e ben congegnati.

Rossi e Arancioni

• Rosso mandarino
• Mentre la maggior parte delle tendenze dei colori dell'autunno/inverno 2020-21 sono piuttosto sobrie, il rosso mandarino spicca come un vivace contrasto. Questo rosso brillante e caldo è stato descritto da Pantone come "provocatorio", ma irresistibile!
• Samba
• A differenza del rosso mandarino, il samba è un colore un po 'più maturo. Ha ancora il sex appeal così inerente ai rossi ma in un'atmosfera pù sensuale grazie alla sua profondità.
• Mattone
• Questo tono di rosso intenso è stato descritto da Pantone come "l’aggiunta di profondità" alla tavolozza di colori stagionali. È un'altra tonalità matura e senza tempo, ma con un piccolo tocco glamour.
• Henné Bruciato
• Il calore e la terrosità dell'henné bruciato lo rendono un'aggiunta perfettamente coerente con le tendenze colore dell'autunno / inverno 2020-21. È una tonalità profonda che funziona particolarmente bene per i capispalla, specialmente in pelle, camoscio e altri materiali naturali autunnali.

Rosa e viola

• Peach Nougat
• Il Peach Nougat è un tono molto morbido e femminile, ma in un modo molto più maturo rispetto al che di infantile che generalmente caratterizza i rosa chiari. Pantone ne enfatizza le qualità materne e classiche, quindi possiamo pensarlo come una di quelle tendenze colore autunno / inverno 2020-21 che ci daranno conforto nelle giornate più fredde e rigide.
• Rose Tan
• Calma: ecco un ottimo modo per descrivere molte delle tendenze colore dell'autunno / inverno 2020-21, tra cui il rose tan. Questo rosa polveroso è serio e composto, ed è veramente un neutro, quindi può risultare estremamente lusinghiero per tutte.
• Magenta
• Il viola magenta è un tono viola caldo e profondo che trasuda glamour e regalità ma contiene anche profondità e persino un tocco di avanguardia.

Blu

• Blu classico 
• Il blu ha preso il sopravvento sui colori delle passerelle dell'autunno/inverno 2020-21, con il classico blu che spicca come colore dell'anno di Pantone per il 2020. È un blu profondo ma vivido che risulta estremamente versatile, e mentre trasuda la calma inerente a tutte le sfumature blu, è anche ricco di versatilità. 
• True Blue 
• Il true blue è un blu più scuro, che si trova da qualche parte tra i blu più vivaci nelle tendenze dei colori dell'autunno/inverno 2020-21 e i marine profondi e neutri. Questa tonalità fresca e decisa è stata comunque definita da Pantone come un colore sobrio. 
• Blu intenso 
• Il blu intenso è il blu più brillante tra le tendenze cromatiche dell'autunno / inverno 2020-2021 ed è stato utilizzato dai designer in modi davvero giocosi e creativi, a dimostrazione che la descrizione di Pantone, che lo definisce come un colore neutro, sia davvero azzeccata. 
• Azzurro polvere
  Per coloro che preferiscono mantenere le cose delicate, il blu polvere potrebbe diventare il colore preferito dell'autunno inverno 2020-21. Il blu polvere è rilassante come le altre tonalità di blu, ma è anche un po 'più innocente e giovanile.
  È un colore che si abbina particolarmente bene al tulle, ma è anche un colore adatto per abiti ispirati agli indumenti da notte. 
• Blu Profondo 
• Profonde ma fresche e sature, le sfumature del blu profondo sono vivide come può essere un marine neutro, e sicuramente ricordano l'oceano. Pantone lo descrive come misterioso, il che lo rende un'ottima tonalità da indossare la sera quando volete un tocco in più.
  Un modo per farlo è , ad es, con una gonna di velluto aderente come quelle che abbiamo visto da Off-White, con un taglio rotondo appena sopra la coscia ed era abbinata solo a un reggiseno sportivo. Un altro modo è invece portarlo in modo drammatico è sottoforma di mantelle e  cappotti blu scuro romantici, come abbiamo visto da Valentino.

When Pantone released its colors, the heavy focus was on timeless, staple shades, like Classic Blue, Samba, and Almond Oil. 

These colors are not boring, but instead, they are wearable classics that don’t go out of style and can be incorporated into nearly any wardrobe. It’s a color shift that fits in well with a movement away from fast fashion towards long-lasting, well-thought-out wardrobes.

Reds and Oranges

• Mandarin Red
• While most of the fall/winter 2020-21 color trends are quite sober, mandarin red is a lively contrast. This bright, warm red was described by Pantone as “provocative,” to which we say that we wouldn’t want bright red any other way!
• Samba
• Unlike mandarin red, samba was a little more mature. It still has the sex appeal that is so inherent to reds but with a sultry vibe thanks to its darkness and depth.
• Fired Brick
• This powerful deep red tone was described by Pantone as “adding gravitas.” It’s another timeless, mature shade for a season of staples, though we find that it still holds a small touch of glamour about it.
• Burnt Henna
• The warmth and earthiness of burnt henna make it a perfectly comforting addition to the fall/ winter 2020-21 color trends. It’s a deep shade that works particularly well for outerwear, especially in leather, suede, and other autumnal natural materials.

Pinks and Purples

• Peach Nougat
• Peach nougat is very soft and feminine, but it’s also reserved in a way that is very mature rather than childish. Pantone emphasizes its maternal and nurturing qualities, so you can think of it as one of those fall/ winter 2020-21 color trends that will care for you during the cold, harsh seasons.
• Rose Tan
• Calm is a great way to describe many of the fall/ winter 2020-21 color trends, rose tan amongst them. This dusty pink is serious and composed, and since it is truly a neutral, it can be extremely flattering to all.
• Magenta Purple
• Magenta purple is a warm, deep purple tone that exudes glamour and royalty but also holds intrigue, and even a touch of danger. 

Blues

• Classic Blue
• Blues took over the fall winter 2020-21 runway colors, with classic blue being a major stand out as Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2020. It’s a deep but vivid blue that is extremely versatile, and while it still exudes the calm inherent to blue shades, it’s also rich with possibility.
• True Blue
• True blue is a darker blue, sitting somewhere between the more vivid blues in the fall winter 2020-21 color trends and the deep, neutral navies. This cool, steady shade was described by Pantone as constant and faithful, so it definitely counts as a more sober color.
• Strong Blue
• Strong blue is the brightest blue to come out of the fall/ winter 2020-2021 color trends, and it was used by designers in some really playful and creative ways, proving Pantone’s description of it as a confident color.
• Powder Blue
• For those who would rather keep things soft, powder blue could become a favorite fall winter 2020-21 runway color. Powder blue is as calming as other blue shades, but it’s also a little more innocent and youthful. It’s a color that paired especially well with tulle, like a girlish dress but It was also a fitting color for sleepwear-inspired dresses. 
• Blue Depths
• Deep yet cool and saturated, blue depths is as vivid as a neutral navy can be, and it certainly brings to mind the ocean. Pantone heavily describes it as mysterious, which makes it a great shade to wear in the evening when you want to intrigue. One way to do that is with a tight corduroy skirt like we saw at Off-White, which had a round cutout just over the thigh and was paired with just a sports bra. Another way to do it is with concealing, like the dramatic and romantic navy capes and coats we saw at Valentino.
