L'abito estivo perfetto è una delle ricerche più elusive di tutte.

Quante di noi perdono ore a cercare ed a fantasticare su un vestito simile? I posti in cui lo indosseremmo, le vacanze in cui lo porteremmo, le persone che ci farebbero i complimenti….

Un vestito del genere dovrebbe essere senza tempo, facile da indossare, bello sulla spiaggia così come in una giornata calda in città, e magari anche conveniente.

E ammettiamolo, indipendentemente dal numero di abiti che abbiamo nell’armadio, troveremo sempre e comunque il modo di giustificarne l'acquisto di un altro dopo aver studiato le tendenze dell'anno. 

Siamo tutte pronte a fare una piccola pazzia per quei capi evergreen che dovrebbero durarci per sempre – dai semplici prendisole in cotone agli slipdress di seta - ma ciò non significa che non possiamo concederci (anche) un paio di capi alla moda quando arriva la nuova stagione, e quest'anno la novità in questo campo sta tutta nell'aggiunta delle balze a capi che già conosciamo bene.
dettaglio super utile soprattutt in estate, che è sicuramente uno dei periodi più divertenti dell'anno in cui giocare con lo stile, ma poiché non possiamo stratificare i capi come facciamo in inverno, è anche importante assicurarsi che la base di ogni look sia “forte”.

Per me, questo si traduce molto spesso in un bel vestito, motivo per cui cerco di stare piuttosto attenta alle tendenze in questione.

Dunque cosa c'è di nuovo per il 2020? Scollature quadrate, cinture strette in vita e, naturalmente, balze e maniche a sbuffo!

E non esitate a sfoggiarli in questi ultimi giorni caldi: sono le ultime chance prima di salutare l’estate!

The perfect summer dress is one of life’s most elusive searches. How many of us have lost hours fantasising about such a dress?– the places I would wear it, the holidays I would take it on, the people who would complement it….

Such a dress would be timeless, it would be easy to wear, it would look as good on the beach as it would a hot day in the city, and it would be affordable.

No matter how many dresses you have squeezed into your overstuffed closet, you can always justify browsing the year’s summer dress trends and buying a few more.
I bet we are all about splurging on staples you’ll wear forever—like simple cotton sundresses and silky shifts that we all have in our wardrobes—but that doesn’t mean you won’t treat yourself to a trendy piece or two when the seasons change.
Summer is definitely one of the most fun times of the year to play around with your style, but since you can’t as easily layer on pieces as you could in cold winter weather, it’s important to ensure the base of your look is strong.
For me, that’s more often than not a great dress, which is why I take dress trends very seriously.
What’s in for 2020? Bold patterns from florals to fruits to polka dots (and feel free to clash them with a bit of pattern play, while you’re at it!), square necklines, belted and wrap waists, and of course, tiers and puffy sleeves!
And don't hesitate to show off in these last warm days: these are the last chance before saying goodbye to summer!
