TREND ALERT: CHECKS FOR FALL 2018

Per l'autunno / inverno 2018, le passerelle sono state letteralmente inondate da stampe geometriche, praticamente su ogni tipo di capo.

Plaid, Principe di Galles o tartan, il quadrettato in tutte le sue molteplici forme sembra proprio esser fondamentale per questa e la prossima stagione. 

Sulle passerelle il plaid di ispirazione americana ha spiccato sui look di Calvin Klein, indossato insieme a maglie con maniche a palloncino; se invece cercate qualcosa di più sobrio, Erdem ha incorporato i classici disegni Principe di Galles in praticamente tutta la sua collezione; l'approccio di Versace aveva invece una certa reminiscenza "stile Clueless", chiaramente ispirato agli anni '90 – ed agli emblematici look di Cher Horowitz.

In generale, prendere ad esempio i look tipo Clueless non è sbagliato, anzi, ma vanno ripensati in modo più cool e moderno.

E non abbiate paura di "raddoppiare"il quadrettato, proprio come hanno fatto Stella Mc Cartney e Rochas (tanto per citarne due):entrambi hanno sfoggiato completi in due pezzi fatti dallo stesso tessuto che a quanto pare hanno ricevuto l’assenso dell’intero pubblico presente alle sfilate .

For fall / winter 2018, the catwalks were literally flooded by geometrical print across every kind of item.

Plaid, Prince of Wales heritage or tartan, checks in all their many forms are key for the new season.

On the catwalks, the American-inspired plaid stood out on Calvin Klein's looks, worn over balloon sleeves shirts.
A more polished take can be found at Erdem who has incorporated the classic Prince of Wales checks into almost every piece of his collection.
Instead, Versace's approach had a very 90s-inspired Clueless feel - and the iconic looks of Cher Horowitz. 

In general think Clueless but cooler. 

And do not be afraid to double up: both Stella McCartney and Rochas showcased full two-piece outfits made from the same fabric that apparently received the approval of the entire front row.
