Checkered Pieces to Keep Your Wardrobe in Check

Dai sofisticati tartan ai quadri in stile grunge, i tessuti quadrettati tornano ad essere i protagonisti dell'autunno-inverno 2017-18.

Il tartan (o plaid), in particolare, simbolo del più tradizionale scozzese, è proposto sia per capispalla in lana e bouclé, sia per giacche country chic o anche blazer ancor più sofisticati, e poi pantaloni, gonne, camicie e abiti.

In molte passerelle è stato presentato anche nella versione over, cosa che ha contribuito a stabilizzare le proporzioni di quei maxi cappotti che tutte le star dello street style sembrano agognare, a decorare gli orli insieme ad accenti in pelle creando un effetto 3-D, o a triplicare il numero di quadrettati in un solo look, seppur con pop di colore brillante che rompono gli schemi.
Ma è anche possibile rimanere sul tradizionale motivo a quadretti bianco e nero aggiungendo tocchi di rosso e variazioni di larghezza, oppure andare sulle tonalità della terra, magari aggiungendoci un capospalla in ecopelliccia.

Ma l’abbinamento più audace sarà tutto gocato sui look in due pezzi con le parti superiori ed inferiori che si coordinano e si contrastano allo stesso tempo.
Sulle strade in molti hanno già accolto con favore la nuova ondate di capi a quadretti. 

Dal classico blazer, leggermente oversize perfetto per il clima attuale, ai pantaloni in quadrettati multicolor con richiami vagamente grunge, e persino sui panta culotte, un capo che certamente richiede una certa dose di coraggio (e buon gusto) per esser sfoggiato con nonchalance.
La cosa bella del quadrettato è che rimane una fantasia fresca indipendentemente dalla stagione, quindi i capi che acqisterete adesso funzioneranno perfettamente almeno fino a primavera.

From the sophisticated tartans to the checks in grunge style, Scottish fabrics return to be the protagonists of the Autumn Winter 2017-18.

The Plaid print, the symbol of the most traditional Scottish, is proposed both for woolen and bouclé outerwear, as well as in country chic or sophisticated jackets, and then pants, skirts, shirts and dresses.
The wider-spaced weave popped up on quite a few runways, which has helped to stabilize the proportions of the maxi coats that all the street style stars seem to covet, to decorate some edge with leather strappy accents providing a 3-D effect, or tripling-down on checks, but broking things up with a bright color pops
But it is also possible to stay on the traditional black and white checkered pattern by adding pops of red and variations in width, or go on the earth tones, maybe covered up with eco-fur coats. 
But the most daring combination will be all about matching separates with tops and bottoms coordinating and clashing at the same time.
On the streets many trendsetters have already welcomed the new wave of checkered items. 

From the classic blazer, slightly oversized, perfect for the current climate, grunge-era multicolored button-downs, and even culottes, a garment that certainly requires a certain amount of daring (and good taste) to show off with nonchalance.
The great thing about checks is that it feels fresh regardless of the season so the pieces you're going to buy now will work perfectly until spring.
