Il nostro concetto di power dressing sta cambiando, e così arriva l'abito romantico, ma stavolta viene indossato come una corazza.

Una volta la parola romanticismo era sinonimo di frivolezza, femminilità e capriccio. 

Nel 2024, non abbiamo più bisogno di rifiutare la nostra femminilità per apparire forti o potenti e, come sempre, ciò che indossiamo riflette i nostri tempi. 

Lontano dai completi power con spalle prepotenti o dagli abiti "bombshell" aderenti - look che hanno tipicamente caratterizzato il power dressing della fine del millennio- sono in aumento gli abiti romantici, che infondono una forza più morbida ed offrono un diverso tipo di "armatura".

Il leader del gruppo è Pierpaolo Piccioli, i cui abiti aggraziati hanno commosso numerosi redattori di moda. 

Le silhouette strutturate vengono infatti in tessuti più romantici ed in tonalità esuberanti e gioiose, e sono subito diventate le preferite di Lady Gaga e Lizzo. 

Oggi il romanticismo non è una debolezza, ma un punto di forza. 

Si può essere assertivi senza essere aggressivi. 

Ogni eroe o eroina del romanticismo ha dovuto pagare dei sacrifici. Se si è razionali va bene, ma se si è romantici bisogna sacrificarsi. 

ma credo che sia finalmente giunto il momento di affermare che si può essere romantici e che tutto possa comunque andare bene.

 Our notions of power dressing are changing, and so rises the armour-like romantic dress

once upon a time, the word romance was synonymous with frivolity, girlishness and whimsy. 

In 2024, we don’t need to reject our femininity to be strong or powerful and, as is always the way, what we wear reflects our evolved attitudes. 

Far from power suits and bold shoulders, or figure-hugging 'bombshell' dresses - looks that have typically characterised power dressing - romantic dresses are on the rise, imbuing a softer strength that offers a different kind of armour.

The leader of the pack is Pierpaolo Piccioli whose graceful, gowns have moved numerous editors (to tears. Structural silhouettes come in the most romantic of fabrics and exuberant, joyful shades, favoured by Lady Gaga and Lizzo. 

Today, romanticism is not a weakness, it’s a strength. 

You can be assertive and not be aggressive. Every hero or heroine in romanticism has had to pay sacrifice. 

If you’re rational you’re fine, but if you’re a romanticist you have to pay sacrifice. I think it’s time to say you can be a romanticist and everything can still be good.
