OOTD: Long And Lean Dresses

Il maxi abito è tornato. 

Ma al posto delle forme e delle silhouette bohémien tanto amate tempo fa, il nuovo look di tendenza è più snello, più minimal e, in definitiva, più pulito. 

Prendete spunto da Chloe, Gabriela Hearst o Rabanne e scegliete un abito in cashmere o lana merino con ornamenti minimi. 

Al massimo una o due pieghe qui o là che aggiungono un pizzico di romanticismo, se per voi è tutto troppo minimal

• Abito in maglia di lana   
•  I maglioni a righe sono una costante del guardaroba invernale, quindi un semplice abito in maglia di misto lana a righe bianche e nere è naturalmente arrivato subito in cima alla lista dei desideri delle fashionistas. Il design a collo alto darà un aspetto più slanciato rispetto a un dolcevita tradizionale, rendendolo quindi un ottima alternativa ai maglioni pesanti. Un orlo midi si adatta bene a tacchi, stivaletti o stivali al ginocchio. Inoltre, costa poco e non passerà mai (mai) di moda.

• Abito in maglina
• Un mini abito in felpa è l'ideale se volete il look e la sensazione di una classica felpa ma volete comunque mostrare un po' di gambe. Con una vestibilità un po' oversize è l'ideale per le giornate in cui si fa poca fatica. Potete abbinarlo a un paio di collant coprenti con stivali al ginocchio o a collant e tacchi. Se lo desiderate, potete anche metterci una cintura per evidenziare un po' le forme. Acquistatelo in colori neutri come marrone, cammello e blu navy.
• Abito corto in maglia
• Indossare il bianco in inverno non è solo accettabile, ma anche incoraggiato. Un mini abito in stile skater non aspetta altro che essere abbinato a un peacoat e indossato su collant e stivali. Il tessuto leggero a coste non vi farà sentire caldo sotto i vari strati e se lo scegliete a collo alto vi permetterà di indossarlo facilmente con diverse collane del metallo che preferite. Non troverete un capo più carino e facile da indossare in questa stagione. 
• Abito a tubino
• Questo è quello che definisco un pezzo a basso sforzo e ad alto rendimento. Il design a tubino è elegante senza sforzo perchè basta infilarsi in questo capo per sentirsi automaticamente dieci volte più cool e più a posto di quanto non si sia in realtà. Potete indossarlo per l'ufficio (magari abbinato alle vostre ballerine preferite e a un cardigan leggero) o per un cocktail party formale (abbinato a tacchi slingback, collant e ad orecchini a goccia).

The maxi dress has returned. 

But instead of the once-loved bohemian shapes and silhouettes, the new look is longer, leaner, more minimal, and ultimately, more streamlined. 

Take a cue from Chloe, Gabriela Hearst, or Rabanne and choose a dress made of cashmere or merino wool with minimal adornments. 

A pleat or two here or there adds a hint of romanticism, if it’s all too minimal for you.  

• Wool-Blend Knit Dress
• Striped sweaters are a constant in winter wardrobe, so a simple black-and-white striped wool-blend sweater dress was naturally next up on every fashionista to-buy list. A mock-neck design at the top looks tighter to the neck than a traditional turtleneck, therefore making it a great layering piece under chunky sweaters. Style the midi-length hemline works well with heels, ankle boots, or knee-length boots. Plus it will never (ever) go out of style.
• Sweater Dress
• A mini sweater dress is great if you want the look and feel of a traditional sweater dress but still want to show some leg. It fits just a touch oversized, so it’s great for low-effort outfit days. Style it over a pair of opaque tights with knee boots or with tights with heels. You can also belt it to add some shape if so you choose. Shop it in many colors, including maroon, camel, and navy blue. 
• Short Knitted Dress
• Wearing white in the winter time is not only acceptable but encouraged in my mind. A mini skater-style dress is begging to be layered under a peacoat and worn over tights with boots. The lightweight ribbed fabric won’t make you overheat under your layers, and a sleek mock-neck neckline makes it easy to wear it with several necklaces in your preferred metal. You won’t find a cuter and more easy-to-style piece this winter season.  
• Draped Sheath Dress
• This dress is what I call a low-effort, high-payoff piece. A draped sheath design is effortlessly polished in that all you need to do is slip this slinky number on, and you automatically feel ten times cooler and more put-together than you actually are. You can weat it to the office (maybe teamed with your new favorite ballet flats and a lightweight cardigan) and a formal-ish cocktail party (paired with slingback heels, tights, andyour go-to silver drop earrings).
