Lo stile Nautico Per Il 2023

La moda marittima non sempre riesce ad entrare nelle grazie del grande pubblico.  

Fatta male, prevede maglioni lavorati a maglia senza forma, pessimi motivi ad ancora e sconvenienti cappelli da marinaio à la Popeye.  

Fatta bene, è... beh, è la collezione autunno inverno '23 di Joseph Altuzarra.  

Ispirato da "l'idea di un marinaio che viene sedotto e poi trasformato in una sirena", è una lettera d'amore alla vita in alto mare.  

Le modelle hanno sfilato lungo la passerella con maglieria a righe grosse e snood in cashmere, o capispalla di ispirazione militare con cinture di corda intrecciata o catene d'oro che evocavano il bottino di un pirata. 

Altrove, eleganti abiti da giorno in crepe de chine o morbida lana erano legati e drappeggiati ad arte sul corpo e sembrava che le modelle si fossero ritrovate bloccate su un'isola deserta e avessero modellato l'abbigliamento da naufrago più chic che si sia mai visto. 

È interessante anche notare che Altuzarra, come  anche altri designer stiano approfittando di questo momento per esplorare l'importanza dei miti.

Maritime fashion doesn’t always land. 

Done wrong, it’s lumpy knitted sweaters, bad anchor motifs, and unseemly sailor’s hats à la Popeye. 

Done right, it’s… well, it’s Joseph Altuzarra’s fall winter ‘23 collection. 

Inspired by “the idea of a sailor that’s seduced and then transformed into a mermaid”, FW ‘23 is a love letter to life on the high seas. 

Models swept down the runway in chunky striped knitwear (lump-free and drool-inducing) and cashmere snoods, or military-inspired outerwear belted with woven ropes or gold chains that evoked a pirate’s loot. 

Elsewhere, elegant day dresses in supple crepe de chine or soft wool were tie-dyed, tied and draped artfully across the body, it felt as if the models had found themselves stranded on a deserted island and fashioned the chicest castaway attire known to man.

It’s interesting that Altuzarraand many other designers are taking this moment to explore the importance of myths.
