LOOKS: Here’s How To Dress The Biker Fashion

Molti designer hanno scomposto gli elementi dello stile biker, suggerendo che derivi dalle "tendenze vintage e nostalgiche" che attualmente alimentano il mondo della moda (vedi anche: il ritorno della moda Y2K); è un effetto collaterale della nostra esigenza di evasione e di libertà alimentata dalla pandemia; o una ricontestualizzazione della ragazza biker come soft butch femme. 

Qualunque sia il motivo, le collezioni dell'autunno/invrno 2022/3 hanno offerto look biker-chic con un sacco di giacche da moto, denim dalla testa ai piedi e grossi dettagli con cerniere. 

Ma c'erano anche elementi che hanno spinto la tendenza in un territorio più alla moda, come i corpetti che ricordano gli indumenti protettivi da motocross di Balmain e Dior, o guanti da opera che sembrano più pronti per affrontare gli X Games che una notte a teatro. 

Su tutte le passerelle dell'autunno/inverno 2022/3, comunque, lo spirito della corsa è stato esibito attraverso un contrasto tra edgy e morbido: 

delicati mini abiti neri abbinati a guanti utility da Dior, una giacca di pelle che si apriva su una gonna da ballo da Junya Watanabe e moto cropped giacche abbinate a gonne fluide da Alexander McQueen. 

Insomma, la tendenza della moda biker può essere facilmente indossata nella nostra vita di tutti i giorni, anche se non guidate una moto. 

Si tratta davvero solo di giacare con le texture e mescolare i materiali. 

Dalle giacche di pelle ai caschi da biker (sì, davvero!) fino agli occhiali da sole pronti per l'autostrada, ecco come incanalare il trend del bikercore, su strada e fuoristrada.

• Pelle dalla testa ai piedi
• Dagli abiti senza spalline per l'aperitivo a pantaloni e giacche da motocross, il materiale indispensabile della moda biker è la pelle (che sia vera, finta o addirittura a base di funghi!). Anche quando lo stile svanirà dal ciclo delle tendenze, una giacca in pelle da moto rimarrà un classico.

• Per contrastare la durezza della pelle, aggiungeteci silhouette e texture femminili, o colori che trasudino morbidezza e sensualità, come il lilla e il rosso. Pensate ad es. ad un abito sottoveste in seta o ad un abito trasparente (con della lingerie fantasia sotto!) abbinato a un trench in pelle.
• Stivali
• gli stivali oversize sono il modo più semplice per incanalare il look biker chic. Prendete uno stivale bello e grosso e poi continuate aggiungendo materiali al vostro outfit. Al posto degli stivali piatti, optate per un paio di stivali altissimi con platform, alla Bratz, che sono di tendenza in questo momento.
• Occhiali da sole a prova di velocità
• Per completare il look e combattere il vento se guidate effettivamente una moto, prendete un paio di occhiali da sole neri sportivi. Ancora meglio se provengono da una stazione di servizio sulla strada.

Many designers broke down the elements of biker style, suggesting that it stems from the “vintage and nostalgia-driven trends” currently fueling the fashion world (also see: the Y2K fashion comeback); is a side effect to our pandemic-powered need for escapism and freewheeling; or a recontextualization of the biker chick as a soft butch femme. 

Whatever the reason may be, fall 2022 collections delivered biker-chic looks with plenty of moto jackets, head-to-toe denim, and chunky zipper details. 

But there were also elements that propelled the trend to more fashion-forward territory, including bodices that resembled motocross protective gear at Balmain and Dior, as well as opera gloves that looked more ready to take on the X Games than a night at the theater. 

Throughout the fall/winter 2022/23 runways, the on-the-run spirit was exhibited through a contrast of edgy and soft: 

delicate black mini dresses paired with utilitarian gloves at Dior, a leather jacket that opened into a ballgown skirt at Junya Watanabe, and cropped moto jackets paired with flowy skirts at Alexander McQueen. 

the biker fashion trend is one that can be easily worn in our everyday lives, even if you don’t ride a motorcycle. It really is all about texture and mixing materials.

From leather jackets to biker helmets (yes, really!) and highway-ready sunglasses, here’s how to channel the bikercore trend, on and off the road. 

• Head-To-Toe Leather
• From strapless dresses for cocktail hour to motocross-ready pants and jackets, biker fashion’s must-have material is leather (whether real, fake, or even mushroom-based!). Even when the style fades from the trend cycle, a motorcycle leather jacket will remain a classic staple. 
• Sweet Frocks
• To contrast the toughness of leather, add feminine silhouettes and textures, or colors that exude softness and sensuality, like lilac and red. Think: a silk slip dress or a sheer frock (with some fancy lingerie underneath!) styled with a leather trench coat. 
• Dust-Kicking Boots
• oversized boots are the easiest way to channel the biker chic look. Just get a cool, chunky boot and then keep adding materials to your outfit. In lieu of flat boots, opt for a pair of uber-high platform boots, a la Bratz dolls, that are trending right now. 
• Speed-Proof Sunglasses
• To complete the look, and battle the wind if you do actually own a motorcycle, grab a pair of sporty black sunglasses. Even better if they come from a gas station on the road.
