Quest’anno ammetto di essere piuttosto entusiasta delle tendenze della moda S/S 22. 

Lo stato d'animo generale sembrava molto ottimista, ma dove la stagione precedente forse ha un tantino esagerato con il desiderio di vestirsi fin troppo bene anche per andare a fare la spesa, le prospettive per la S/S 22 sembra che siano tornate a più miti consigli, con look che prevedono un tempo e un luogo dove apparire favolose, accanto a ensamble ed abiti più facili, comodi, e soprattutto da indossare in fretta. 

Insomma speriamo proprio che questa prossima bella stagione ci saranno posti dove andare, persone da vedere e tanti ensemble adatti ad ogni tipo di occasione!

Quindi, mentre da un lato c'è un chiaro spostamento verso un tipo di abbigliamento rivelatore, ultra-sfacciato, pieno di tagli e trasparenze decisamente audaci, dall’altro c'è anche un'antitesi molto chic e sobria in gioco. 

Che chiaramente si rivolge ai capricci e alla naturale inclinazione di un acquirente moderno a cambiare idea. 

Alcuni giorni potreste sentirvi a vostro agio in un classico abito tutto beige e altri invece cercare un miniabito stravagante e platforms neon. Siamo persone complesse e i nostri guardaroba, e quindi i nostri brand preferiti, devono tenere il passo.

 Insomma, praticamente ogni stile personale sembrerebbe poter essere soddisfatto nella line-up di questa primavera estate 2022. 

Demna Gvasalia di Balenciaga ha unito passerella e tappeto rosso per la prima di un film (finto) per celebrare l'uscita della nuova collezione. 

Gucci ha conquistato Hollywood con una passerella piena zeppa di amici di alto profilo del marchio in stravaganti capi che non starebbero fuori luogo in un blockbuster degli anni '40. 

La collezione ispirata alle top model di Chanel degli anni '90 ha visto infiniti post su Instagram con modelle sbarazzine in bikini monocromatici....

In breve: il divertimento della moda è chiaramente tornato! 

Tom Ford ha alluso a una teoria alla base di una delle sue collezioni più stravaganti raccontando come Instagram abbia cambiato il gioco ed abbia portato molte persone a concentrarsi su come i vestiti si traducono in immagini; ed è stato uno dei tanti designer a tuffarsi a capofitto nei colori forti, rivelando tagli e finiture lucide, che starebbero tutti molto bene sui feed dei social. Insomma, se non attira l’attenzione (o likes), chiaramente non è abbastanza extra.  

• Microgonne
•  A questo punto, probabilmente già conoscerete tutte la microgonna virale di Miu Miu. L'ultra-mini che è stata sfoggata tanto sulle copertine delle riviste patinate quanto dalle influencer più note e, sebbene potreste già essere stanche della sua sovraesposizione, prevedibilmente invece la sua popolarità continuerà ad aumentare per tutta l'estate. In più, anche se si ptrebbe pensare che questo capo funzioni solo con il caldo, vedrete che la potrete portare facilmente anche in autunno con un paio di collant stampati.
• Jeans Baggy
• La Gen Z sta cercando di convincerci a riportare le sopracciglia alle dimensioni degli anni '90 - ma non lo faremo – e nel frattempo hanno tirato fuori questa tendenza dello stesso decennio: i jeans super larghi. Come visto da Missoni, il denim oversize funziona benissimo con un bel top per uscire, ma sono anche una scelta naturale quando dovete correre per la città in qualcosa di davvero comodo.
• Y2K
• Comee appena detto, che vi piaccia o meno questa tendenza, gli anni 2000 sono tornati. Nicola Brognano di Blumarine è in testa al gruppo dei designer che puntano a far rivivere i primi anni del nuovo millennio, ma si possono facilmente trovare opzioni per ogni fascia di prezzo. Pensate a: farfalle su tutto, orli asimmetrici e occhiali da sole color caramello. Fondamentalmente, tutto ciò che Paris Hilton e Nicole Richie indossavano in The Simple Life è (di nuov) on trend.
• Colori
• A quanto pare nella bella stagione 2022, non ci sarà più la minima scusa per utilizzare solo colori neutrali. Non quando le combinazioni di colori sulle passerelle sono state così sfavillanti. Prendete Valentino, dove il marrone cioccolato, il lampone e il blu ceruleo si sono mescolati con un effetto delizioso. O Halpern, dove il tangerine balla con il fucsia. E se vi sembra troppo complicato interpretare Rothko con il guardaroba, basta scegliere un solo colore e indossarlo dalla testa ai piedi! I am so excited about S/S 22's fashion trends. 

The overarching mood was one of real optimism, but where the previous season perhaps went into overdrive with the desire to get dressed up for even the most low-key of weekly grocery shops, the outlook for S/S 22 is that there is a time and place to be extra fabulous but still a strong demand and a necessity for easy, simple, luxurious, gorgeous clothes and outfits you can fling on in a hurry. 

There are places to go, people to see and the many ensembles to suit in the next future. 

So while on the one hand there's a very clear shift towards revealing, ultra-sassy, cut-to-here-and-slashed-to-there kind of dressing, there's also a very chic, understated antithesis at play. 

It speaks to a modern shopper's whims and natural inclination to change one's mind. 

Some days you might channel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in a classic, all-beige get-up and others be more Dua Lipa in a rad minidress and stacked platforms. 

We are complex characters, and our wardrobes, and favourite brands, must keep up!

Every personal style can be catered for in the spring 2022 line-up. 

Balenciaga's Demna Gvasalia merged a runway and a fake movie premiere celebrity red carpet to celebrate the arrival of a new collection. 

Gucci took over Hollywood with runway chocked with high-profile friends of the brand in extravagant costume-inspired pieces that wouldn't look out of place in a 1940s blockbuster. 

Chanel's '90s supermodel–inspired collection saw endless Instagram posts capturing sashaying models in monochromatic bikinis. 

Fashion fun was clearly back!

Tom Ford alluded to a theory behind the more outré collections when he told how Instagram has changed the game and made many people focus on how clothes translate into imagery, and he was one of many designers to dive head first into loud colours, revealing cuts and high-shine finishes, all of which would live very comfortably on screens and in a digital world of dress-up. 

In short: if it's not turning heads or garnering likes, it's clearly not extra enough.

• Micro Skirts
• By now, you’ve probably encountered Miu Miu’s viral skirt. The ultra-mini has graced magazine covers and influencers alike, and while you might already be tired of its overexposure, it’s easy predictable that this hemline will continue to rise throughout the summer. And while you might think this item only works for hotter temps, you can carry into fall with a pair of printed tights with ease.
• Baggy Jeans
• Gen Z is trying to convince us to tweeze our eyebrows back to ‘90s lengths—we won’t—but they do have us on this trend from the same decade: super baggy jeans. Seen at Missoni, oversized denim works great with going-out tops, but they’re also a natural choice when you want to run around town in something inherently comfortable.
• Y2K
• As just said, whether you support this trend or not, Y2K is back with a vengeance. Blumarine’s Nicola Brognano is leading the pack of designers reviving the early aughts, but you can really to find options at every price point. Think: butterflies on everything, asymmetric hemlines, and candy-colored sunglasses. Basically, anything that Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie would wear on The Simple Life is fair game.
• Colour Me Free
• Come the good weather of 2022, there is not the slightest excuse for neutrals. Not when the colour combinations on the catwalks look this juicy. Take Valentino, where chocolate brown, raspberry and cerulean blue mingled to delicious effect. Or Halpern, where tangerine tangoed with fuchsia. And if it feels too complicated to play Rothko with your wardrobe? Just take it head-to-toe, inspired by Emilia Wickstead and Christian Siriano.
