Con così tante persone che sono tornate in ufficio dopo aver trascorso più di un anno curve sui laptop al tavolino del soggiorno, non sorprende che il tailleur abbia dominato le passerelle autunno/inverno 2021/22. 

Di base, si guarda a forme più svasate per questa stagione, con giacche e pantaloni che sfruttano silhouette più rilassate. 

E se siete state a lungo confuse e frustrate dal dress code smart-casual, mettete un paio di pantaloni gessati al centro del vostro guardaroba da lavoro e renderete il tutto molto più semplice. 

La classica stampa a linee sottili, tuttavia, non è sempre stata vista come un pezzo chiave nell'arsenale quotidiano di una donna. 

Per molto tempo, infatti, questa fantasia è stata principalmente identificata con i look di banchieri e  gangsters dell'era del proibizionismo. 

Emanava insomma un certo potere, preciso e prepotente, ma alla fine con un che monotono perché tutto sommato ogni banchiere si vestiva allo stesso modo. 

Oggi, invece, il sottile striping è tornato con un ruolo tuttonuovo e molto più efficace, lontano dai confini della sartoria e dei gangster ed è entrato a pieno diritto nel variegato mondo dell'abbigliamento casual sia maschile che femminile. 

Pensate a maglie da baseball, camicie casual e, soprattutto, calze con cui abbinare questo tessuto. 

I pantaloni gessati, insomma, sono ormai definitivamente entrati a far parte dello streetwear (finalmente) infrangendo le regole dell'uniforme classica di Wall Street.

With so many of us returning to the office after having spent over a year hunched over our laptops at the livingroom cafè table, it's no surprise that suiting dominated the autumn/winter 2021/22 catwalks.

Crucially, we're looking at a flared shapes this season, with both jackets and trousers exploiting a more relaxed silhouette.

If, like many people, you have long been confused and frustrated by the smart-casual dress code, base a pair of pinstripe trousers at the core of your wardrobe and you’ll make the job a whole lot easier. 

The fine-line print hasn’t always been seen as a key piece in a woman’s everyday arsenal. For a long time, the pattern was predominantly found on the same-ish suiting of city types and Prohibition-era mobsters. It was a power play. Precise and domineering, but ultimately monotonous because every banker dressed the same way.

Today, the subtle striping has returned with a new and more effective role, away from the confines of tailoring and gangsters and into the diverse world of casual dress. Think baseball jerseys, casual shirting and most notably, legwear. 

Pinstripe trousers are now as much a part of slouchy tailoring or rule-breaking streetwear as the average Wall Street uniform.
