Sulle passerelle PE 2021 c'era un'atmosfera che richiamava vagamente la moda degli anni '90 che si allinea proprio bene con i crop top, ma in modo più elegante.

• Il crop top femminile.
• L'estate scorsa era tutta incentrata su un'atmosfera vintage che abbinava top corti a gonne a matita a vita alta in un modo originale e retrò allo stesso tempo. Quel look non è sparito ma si è addolcito, dando vita a insiemi più moderni che mettono l’accento sul senso di femminilità. Le bralette strutturate sulle passerelle accennano a tagli vintage senza replicarli troppo da vicino; mentre i colori pastello e le stampe floreali hanno aggiunto un tocco di femminilità in modo contemporaneo.
• Il crop top squadrato.
• Allontanandosi dalle forme troppo fit, alcuni designer hanno optato per tagli squadrati che si discostano dal corpo. Questi look funzionano meglio con capi aderenti nella metà inferiore del corpo per bilanciare il volume extra sulla parte superiore.
• Il crop top sportivo.
• Anche il lusso sportivo è un aspetto che è stato molto presente sulle passerelle. Per la primavera/estate 2021 i designer lo hanno interpretano attraverso la reinvenzione dei reggiseni sportivi in  ​​top che possono essere indossati sovrapposti o da soli.

• Last summer was all about a vintage vibe that paired crop tops with high waisted pencil skirts in a whimsical, retro way. That look hasn’t gone away completely but it has mellowed to a more modern look that retains its sense of femininity. Structured bralets on the runways hinted at vintage cuts without replicating them too closely; while pastel colours and floral prints added to the femininity in a contemporary way.
• The boxy crop top.
• Moving away from fitted shapes, some designers have opted for boxy cuts that sit away from the body. This look works best with a fitted waist on the bottom half to balance out the extra volume on top.
• The sporty crop top.
• Sporty luxe is a look that hasn’t gone away either. For spring/summer 2021 designers were interpreting it through reinvention of sports bras into tops that can be layered under or worn fully visible in an outfit. Edun’s takes had a military toughness to them while the likes of DKNY channeled upmarket sportswear for a more preppy look.
• Minimal & tailored.
• Moving in the opposite direction to last spring’s vintage-inspired obsession, 2013 offers up amply inspiration for clean and minimal looks. Pair a sharply cut crop top with a pair of tailored pants or a neat skirt to achieve a sophisticated take on midriff-bare dressing. Go for monochrome or block colours to really work the look in a modern way.
