Le passerelle potrebbero essere sembrate relativamente modeste in questa stagione, ma la scena a margine era tutta un caos colorato. 

Tonalità fluorescenti, cappotti vistosi, grovigli di stampe e accessori supersize erano buttate lì di tanto in tanto tra outfit apparentemente semplici ma super ricercati.

In assenza di tendenze tematiche come il mod degli anni '60 o il grunge degli anni '90, l’approccio comune per vestirsi in questa stagione sta più che altro nello scegliere uno o due colori e sovrapporli dalla testa ai piedi. 

In molti casi, si tratta di look più tonali che monocromatici o veri colorblocking: considerate le sfumature di bianco e avorio con il nero o la tavolozza di verde kelly e smeraldo. 

Un altro showgoer da mescolare sapientemente è il mix di chartreuse e zafferano. È una formula accattivante e relativamente facile per prepararsi in fretta senza ricorrere a neutri come il nero o il cammello.

E non dimentichiamo stampe, righe e animalier che sembrano sfidare il tempo.

Ricordate quando i cappotti leopardati sono tornati di moda, diciamo... nel 2014? Ebbene stanno ancora andando forte per le strade (e sulle passerelle), ora accompagnati anche da altri motivi del regno animale, come righe  zebrate e pelle di serpente.

The runways may have been relatively demure this season, but the scene on the sidelines was all colorful chaos. 

Fluorescent hues, statement coats, jumbles of prints, and supersize accessories were piled on with abandon.

In the absence of thematic trends like ’60s mod and ’90s grunge, a common approach to getting dressed this season was to simply choose one or two colors and layer it from head to toe. 

In many cases, it was more tonal than monochromatic or color blocking: consider shades of white and ivory with black, or palette of kelly green and emerald. Another showgoer expertly mixed chartreuse and saffron. 

It’s an eye-catching, relatively easy formula for getting ready in a hurry without resorting to neutrals like black or camel.

And how to forget animal spots, stripes, and scales, still under the spotlight?

Remember when leopard coats became a trend back in, say…2014? They’re still going strong on the streets (and the runways), but lately we’ve been seeing other animal kingdom motifs too, like zebra stripes and snake prints.
