Le Maggiori Tendenze di Street Style per L'Autunno/Inverno 2020-21

Spesso i nostri street styler preferiti sono quelli che non rientrano del tutto in nessuna "tendenza" o categoria. 

Hanno i loro gusti distinti e decisamente personali e probabilmente non fanno molto caso a ciò che indossano gli altri, per non parlare di quanto effettivamente gli interessi. 

Ci ricordano che, indipendentemente da come oscilla il pendolo della moda, possiamo sempre fare affidamento su un contingente di eclettici trasgressori delle regole con uno stile altrettanto stimolante. 

In questa stagione, il denominatore comune per la maggior parte di loro era sicuramente l'abbondanza di mix di stampe, colori audaci e combinazioni improbabili; insomma tutto ciò che sarebbe considerato l'opposto di un "total look" artificioso e una risposta alla facilità senza sforzo della sartoria moderna.

• L'abito romantico tutto l'anno
• Pioggia? Anche in una giornata grigia e cupa un abito svolazzante e femminile può essere sfoggiato, a dispetto del tempo inclemente. In effetti, abiti chiaramente ispirati a quelli da sposa sono stati presenti in praticamente tutte le passerelle dell'autunno inverno 2020-21, pensati per tutte le ragazze romantiche che però non hanno intenzione di percorrere il corridoio di una Chiesa per sentirsi principesse.
• Il lungo e il corto
• Gli orli continuano a salire e scendere sia dentro che fuori dalle passerelle. In questa stagione abbiamo visto alcune delle gonne più corte di sempre, spesso portate senza collant a dispetto del freddo. Dopo anni di gonne midi e abiti fluenti e romantici, era naturale che il contrario sembrasse una novità fresca e divertente, ma potrebbe anche avere qualcosa a che fare con il nuovo tipo audace di sensualità che abbiamo visto emergere su diverse passerelle come quelle di Gucci, Mugler e Christopher Kane.
• Gli stivali che contano
• Il look borghese è scivolato rapidamente dalle passerelle alle strade già dallo scorso anno, e mentre troviaamo ancora un'abbondanza di blazer e gonne a pieghe in giro, il contributo più importante alla tendenza quest'anno viene senz’altro dallo stivale al ginocchio. Dopo anni di stivaletti con tacco e stringate, praticamente tutti i designer hanno proposto uno stivale al ginocchio in pelle scamosciata o lucida per questa stagione. Perfetti per continuare ad indossare un vestito estivo anche ben oltre la fine della stagione, ma anche per infilarci jeans o pantaloni stretti. Ma c'è di più: quest'anno c'è uno stivale al ginocchio praticamente per tutti i gusti, sia che siate più per un mood equestre o che desideriate qualcosa di un pò più stravagante come geli eclettici cuissardes.
• Sfumature di beige e marrone
• Un anno e mezzo fa, le passerelle della primavera 2019 erano così inondate di beige che questo colore è finito per  diventare una categoria a sé tra le tendenze stagionali. Il beige si è visto ancora ovunque sulle passerelle di questa stagione; tendente al borghese o al minimalista a seconda di come è stato utilizzato. Ma i look migliori sono senz'altro quelli con un mood più ricco e terroso con colpi di colore più scuri come cioccolato, caramello e cognac. Insomma, in conclusione non c'è nessuna reale sfumatura di "nudo" che si possa considerare it: ogni donna può trovare le sfumature che funzionano meglio per lei.
• La pelle
• Le tendenze moda uomo e donna continuano a essere sempre più vicine e una che si è già sovrapposta ad entrambi i generi è il total look in (finta) pelle. Le giacche lucide e i pantaloni abbinati che abbiamo visto sui ragazzi di Rick Owens, Lemaire e Alexander McQueen si sono rivelati altrettanto stimolanti per le donne, che hanno già iniziato a sperimentare colori e materiali inaspettati per le strade. Un completo in pelle ha l’aria elegante ma più grintosa di quello a cui siamo abituati. Vale comunque la pena sottolineare il paradosso di questa strana ossessione per la pelle, data la sempre maggiore preoccupazione per il cambiamento climatico e l'impatto della moda sul pianeta. Speriamo che sempre più capi siano vegani e che i designer ci offrano nuove alternative non animali le prossime stagioni.

Often our favorite street-stylers are the ones who don’t quite fit into any “trend” or category. 

They’ve got their own distinct, highly personal tastes, and they likely don’t much notice what others are wearing, let alone care. 

They’re a reminder that no matter which way the pendulum swings, we can always rely on a contingent of eclectic rule breakers with style that’s just as inspiring. 

This season, the common denominator for most of them was an abundance of mixed prints, bold colors, and unlikely combinations; consider it the opposite of a contrived “total look,” and a riposte to the effortless ease of tailoring.

• The Year-Round Romantic Dress
• Rain? What rain? Even in gray and gloomy day a sheer, floaty, feminine dress can be the uniform for many women, inclement weather (and red wine) be damned. In fact, similar non-wedding wedding dresses were all over the fall-winter 2020-21 runways, designed for the all the "wanna dress like a bride" who wants to say “I do” in Loewe as well as the girl with zero plans to walk down the aisle.
• The Long and Short of It
• Hemlines continue to rise and rise both on and off the runways. This season we saw some of the tiniest skirts yet, often styled without tights despite the winter chill. After years of midi-skirts and flowing, romantic gowns, it was only natural that the opposite would suddenly look fresh, but it might also have something to do with the bold new kind of sensuality we’ve seen on the runways of Gucci, Mugler, and Christopher Kane.
• The Boots That Matter
• The bourgeois look quickly trickled down from the runway to the streets last year, and while we’re still seeing plenty of blazers and pleated skirts, the most lasting contribution of the trend is the knee-high boot. After years of stacked-heel ankle boots and sensible lace-ups, virtually everyone packed a suede or leather knee-high style this season. They’re a no-brainer trick for winterizing a summer dress but several women tucked jeans or loose trousers into their riding boots, too. Even better, there’s a knee-high boot for virtually every taste, whether you’re more into an equestrian vibe or want something a bit kinkier, like skin-tight patent.
• Shades Beige—and Brown
• A year and a half ago, the spring 2019 runways were so awash in beige that the color occupied an entire category in the seasonal trend reports. Beige was still everywhere this season, leaning bourgeois or minimalist depending on how it was styled. But the best looks had a richer, earthier feeling to them with darker hits of chocolate, caramel, and cognac. The real takeaway is that there’s no one shade of “nude” out there; every woman can find the colors that work best for her.
• Leather
• Men’s and women’s trends continue to hew closer together, and one that’s already overlapped is head-to-toe leather. The glossy jackets and matching trousers we saw on guys at Rick Owens, Lemaire, and Alexander McQueen proved just as inspirational to women, who experimented with bolder colors and textures on the streets. Like some of the other trends presented here, there’s serious utility in an all-leather kit: It’s a two-step outfit that looks sleek and a bit tougher than what we’re used to. But it’s worth pointing out the paradox of the timing of this odd leather obsession, given the concern for climate change and fashion’s impact on the planet. Let’s hope in more and more vegan clothing, and that designers will bring us new, non-animal alternatives next season.
