OOTD: The New Way of Grunge Style for Fall 2019

Le stagioni autunno / inverno 2019 sembrano fortemente ispirate al mito del grunge e al suo messia: Kurt Cobain. 

Un ritorno che in effetti ha anche senso nel ciclo della moda. 

È passato infatti un quarto di secolo dalla nascita del look grunge ed oggi si sta riaffermando, aggiornato in linea con il gusto contemporaneo 

soprattutto attraverso il lavoro dai direttori artistici dei grandi marchi del lusso che hanno vissuto i suoi inizi e che lo stanno ora introducendo a una nuova generazione.

E la scelta è davvero ampia: lo si può interpretare con frange, pizzo nero, pelle aderente e rossetto color prugna scuro, così come con un delicati slipdress di seta a fiori da mettere sotto il parka. 

E se questi look vi suonano un po’ troppo audaci, per lo meno accettate l’idea che robusti anfibi, magari con la suola rialzata, saranno i complici essenziali di qualsiasi look autunnale del 2019. 

Sì, il grunge sta rinascendo, ma il bello è che ora possiamo scegliere i suoi componenti che preferiamo ed abbinarli a seconda del nostro gusto: tartan, slipdress che sfiorano il pavimento, denim, maglieria oversize che cade pigramente sulle spalle... E anfibi, da non dimenticare assolutamente.

Fall / winter 2019 seems strongly inspired by the grunge myth and its messiah: Kurt Cobain.  

And this  comeback that makes sense in the fashion cycle. 

It has been a quarter of a century since the grunge look was born and today it is reasserting itself, updated in line with contemporary taste by the artistic directors of the big luxury brands 

who lived its beginnings and who are now introducing it to a new generation.
And the choice is really wide: you can embrace lashings of black lace, form-fitting leather and dark plum lipstick, as well as a delicate floral slipdress to put under the parka. 

And if these looks sound a little too bold to you, at least accept the idea that chunky, lug-soled boots are essential accomplices to any fall 2019 look.

Yes, grunge is having a resurgence, but now you can cherry-pick its juiciest components: checks, floor-length slips, denim, oversized knitwear that falls lazily off shoulders.... And combat boots. Don’t forget those.
