How To Dress Smart In Winter

Gli abiti invernali sono notoriamente poco smart. Già solo le quantità (e la pesantezza) di tessuto infatti non aiutano esattamente ad apparire più chic, specialmente quando si inizia a somigliare più al pupazzetto della Michelin che ad una modella in passerella. 
Ma anche quando le temperature scendono esistino dei sistemi per stare ben al caldo e apparire lo stesso stilose e carine. 
Basta dare un’occhiata alle star dello street style, che di solito riescono a sfruttare il freddo a loro vantaggio escogitando nuovi modi per vestirsi bene anche quando tutto ciò che uno vorrebbe sarebbe rimanere sotto il piumone.

Dall’abbinamento chunky knit e gonna e midi, ai modi più femminili di indossare il bomber, esistono tanti sistemi per  vestire smart in inverno, ecco alcune idee:

• Maglia pesante + gonna midi
  Non c'è niente di più chic di una gonna longuette e una maglia grossa per dare al look da ufficio una bella revisione invernale. Aggiungeteci scarpe lucide per dare al tutto un twist divertente e modaiolo. 
• Beanie hat + long coat + stivaletti
  Non si può davvero battere il beanie hat in inverno. Se vi preoccupate che non sia abbastanza elegante, assicuratevi solo di indossare un bel cappotto strutturato e i vostri stivaletti più eleganti. 
• Stivali + maxi maglione + maxi cappotto
  Quando fa ancora freddo ma inizia anche a essere un pò meno gelido, potete puntare su questo tipo di abbigliamento. Gli stivali mantengono le gambe al caldo e il cappotto è l'ideale per evitare improvvisi venti freddi. 
• Piumino + vestito + stivali al ginocchio
  Non tutti amano i piumini (io stessa sono tra questi), ma se non potete fare a meno di loro, allora cercate di avvicinarvi a silhouette il più possibile eleganti: assicuratevi che il piumino abbia una lunghezza tale da coprire tutto il corpo ed un bel collo. Basterà abbinarlo al vostro abito midi preferito e ad un bel paio di stivali per ottenere un look caldo, stiloso ed elegante. 
• Cappotto in lana pesante + felpa con cappuccio + cappello + stivaletti
  Anche la felpa con cappuccio può essere smart. Basta indossarla con un sofisticato cappotto dalla linea maschile ed un bel paio di stivali e potreste persino sentirvi pronte per sfoggiarla in ufficio.

Winter clothes are notoriously un-smart. Bundles of fabric don't exactly help you look your chicest, especially when you start resembling the Michelin man. 

But even while the temperatures drop there are many ways to stay feeling and looking stylish, even when it's practically freezing. 

Just take a look at your favorite street style stars, who usually manage to work the cold weather to their advantage, and have come up with a few ways to dress when all you want to do is stay under a duvet. 

From the chunky knit and midi skirt combos, to the most ladylike way to wear a bomber, here are many ideas on how to dress smart in winter:

• Chunky knit + midi skirt
  There's nothing chicer than a midi skirt and a chunky knit to give your office wardrobe a winter overhaul. Add bright shoes to make it fun too.  
• Beanie hat + long coat + ankle boots
  You can’t really beat a beanie hat in the winter. If you're worried about it not looking chic enough, just make sure you wear a structured coat and your trendiest ankle boots.   
• Boots + maxi sweater + maxi coat
  When it is still cold but it also starts to be a little less freezing, you can always turn to this type of outfit. The ankle boots need to give you some warmth and the coat is ideal for keeping out any sudden chilly winds.  
• Puffer coat + dress + knee-high boots
  Not everyone loves a puffer jacket (I am among those people) but if you're quite partial to them, then try to keep them chic: ensure it's body length and has a nice collar. Your midi dress and OTK boots will still look elegant.  
• Heavy wool coat + hoodie + hat + ankle boots
  A hoodie can be smart. Wear it with a sophisticated male coat and boots and you might even feel ready for the office.
