LOOKS: Ways To Wear Fall's Most Popular Trend: Animal Print

L'animal print è più di moda che mai, ma come indossare questa stampa senza sembrare, come minimo, appena uscite dagli anni '80?

Bè. tanto per cominciare meglio evitare tessuti pesanti come la lana, o poliestere e sintetici economici, e piuttosto optare per sete o cotoni leggeri che faranno apparire la stampa fresca ed attuale. 

Quindi optare per tagli che siano in linea con le tendenze, come gonne scivolate o abiti di media lunghezza, T-shirt boxy o tailleur leggermente oversize, insomma tutte quelle linee che possano garantire freschezza al capo. 

Come abbiamo potuto appurare in questa stagione la stampa animalier va praticamente su qualsiasi cosa, tuttavia, nonostante il layering sia suggerito, anche con una certa veemenza, un pò ovunque, abbinarle tra di loro potrebbe risultare abbastanza rischioso, per lo meno se non si è gia piuttosto versate nel mix & match.
Allo stesso tempo però è anche vero che se si sceglie una fantasia del genere l’obbiettivo a cui puntare è distinguersi. 

E, in effetti, sovrapporre due stampe animalier o indossare ad es. un top leopardato con stivali di pelle di serpente, se fatto con sapienza, può anche dare un tocco decisamente esotico al look, ma nella maggior parte dei casi risulterà eccessivo.
Quindi per chi non è già pratico, meglio iniziare  ad es.,con una scarpa mules in (finto) serpente piuttosto che con uno stivale da cowboy, seppur super attuale.
Oppure optare per una micro bag con stampa leopardo invece che per una boho bag: insomma, è tutto nei dettagli.
Certo, non c'è momento migliore di questo per abbracciare in pieno la febbre della giungla; ma in questo caso l’audacia non paga: mescolare strisce e macchie, optando per raddoppiare la stampa come fanno gli stylist più consumati dagli editoriali nei magazines non è esattamente consigliabile…. Meglio allora scegliere, che so,un maxi vestito a macchie di leopardo, e magari provare ad abbinarlo con stivaletti in (finta) pelle di pitone, in modo da cavalcare la tendenza ma senza rischiare troppo.

How can you pull off the animal print without looking like you stepped out of the 80s?  

For starters, it is better to avoid heavy fabrics such as wool or cheap synthetics as polyester, and rather opt for silks or light cottons that will make the pattern appear fresh and up-to-date.
Then opt for cuts that that are in line with other trending shapes, like mid-length slip skirts or dresses, boxy button up T-shirts or oversized suits, all of which will ensure the piece says fresh.
As we’ve learnt this season, anything goes, so stacking your animal prints might feel dangerous, but in days like these, you have to do a lot to stand out.
Layering two animal patterns or wearing a leopard top with snakeskin boots, if done with wisdom, can give a very exotic touch to the look, but in most cases will look excessive and tacky.
So for those who don’t master these patterns yet, better to start, for example, with a mules shoea in (fake) snakeskin rather than a current cowboy boot. Or, go for a leopard print micro bag rather than a maxi bag—it’s all in the details.
Of course, there is no better time than the present to fully embrace the jungle fever; but in this case boldness does not pay: mixing tiger stripes and leopard spots or opting to double the pattern, as do the most consumed stylists in the magazines, is not exactly advisable .... Better then to choose a leopard printed maxi dress, and maybe try to match it (if you dare) with boots in (fake) snakeskin, so you can ride the trend without risking too much.
