tenuta benissimo!
guida ci avrebbe fatto perder tempo.

Here we are with the last stop of my holiday on the Amalfi Coast.
Coming back to Rome from the Amalfi Coast we took advantage of the beautiful weather to have a stop in Pompeii.
This was the third time I‘ve visit that place, the first two I was little and I
did not remember well, but one thing immediately catches the eye: it is held
very well!
The houses, the forum, the theater, everything is clean and well accessible, and the reconstructions (where there are) are really well done amd realistic, even complete with gardens and statues.
The only negative point is that some houses are open only in the morning, while others open only in the afternoon, it seems that on the site is indicated, but since ours was a last minute decision, we found ourselves running from a house 'to anoher trying to navigate through alleys without signs (which is maybe historically correct, but it is a mess if you try to get somewhere).
Luckily however, there are almost everywhere guides and keepers who are very kind and helpful.
The ticket price is very accessible, and at the end we regretted not having taken a guide: the fact is that the site is huge, and, even if the points to visit are not so many, at the end you have to do a lot of road to reach them, so we started with the idea of wanting to see everything (or as much as possible) and we thought that a guide would slow us down a lot;
Probably, however, the guide would have taken us directly to the most interesting places since it knows the place, so at the and we still ended to waste lot of time...
In any case it was a very interesting experience and also very very fun, super recommended!
