Colors: looks

Alcuni consigli su come aggiungere colore ai vostri look:

Innanzi tutto non preoccupatevi di quello che gli altri potrebbero pensare del vostro look. Il colore attira inevitabilmente l'attenzione e la fiducia sarà il vostro miglior alleato.
Nessun colore è del tutto "off-limits". Spesso molto dipende dalla tonalità, dal make-up, e da altri aspetti del capo. Magari vi sembra che il senape non vi doni, ma basta aggiungere un tocco di giallo pastello ed apparirete radiose.
Mescolate i vostri colori preferiti con quelli che vi stanno meglio. Non sempre le due cose corrispondono. Ad esempio se il grigio vi piace ma non vi dona, provate ad aggiungere un bel top di un colore che vi dona, ad es, in verde smeraldo.
La cosa più importante da valutare con il colore è quello che sta vicino al viso. Se amate il rosa bubble-gum, ma semplicemente sta male con la vostra carnagione, sarebbe preferibile optare per una gonna oppure puntare su borse e scarpe di questo colore.
Tenete sempre presenti le sfumature nella vostra pelle. Le carnagioni con tonalità calde tendono ad avere sottotoni gialli, mentre quelle fredde blu. Queste sfumature sono molto sottili e spesso difficile da vedere, ma in linea genrale se avete la pelle piuttosto ambrata o tendente al dorato avrete un sottotono genralmente caldo, mentre coloro che hanno una pelle chiara con guance rosse o un lieve rossore di solito hanno sottotoni sul blu.
Infine cercate di non essere troppo audaci con le vostre scelte di colore, sia nel look che nel make up . Ricordatevi di bilanciare un look dai colori appariscenti con make up naturale e delicato, quello che si vede sulle riviste o sulle passerelle, anche se di grande effetto, difficilmente può essere portato nella vita di tutti i giorni.

Don't worry about what other people might think of your personal. Confidence is the best look on anyone.

Realize no single color is entirely "off-limits" due to your coloring. It often depends on the hue, color make-up, and other aspects of the garment. You might look horrible in a mustard, but radiant in a pastel yellow.

Mix your favorite colors with your best colors. These are often two separate entities. For example, a spring could wear a gray that was not usually her best color if she uplifted it with a warm, jewel green top.

What's most important with color tends to be what's near your face. If you love bubble-gum pink, but it simply doesn't match your coloration, you can still wear a pink skirt or enjoy pink handbags and shoes.

Take note of the undertones in your skin. Warm skin tones tend to have yellow undertones, while cool ones have blue. These undertones are very subtle and often difficult to see, but if you have quite golden skin or appear sallow, then you are warm. Blue undertones can often be seen as red cheeks or slight ruddiness.

Try not to be too daring with your color choices. Remember to balance out bolder choices with the right color of eyeshadow and foundation. Just don't go overboard with the colors!

Clear color leads to much larger contrasts than muted colors. If you are clear, you will have a large contrast between your hair, skin and eyes, and your skin will have a slight translucent quality. If you are muted, however, there will be a less noticeable contrast and you may have some ash tones in your coloring. Your coloring will probably be softer than that of a clear person.

"Boho" è il modo in cui viene chiamata la versione moderna dello stile bohemien, uno stile che in poco tempo è tornato alla ribalta. Questo riprende lo stile semplice e morbido del look hippie mescolandolo con suggestioni etniche anche molto diverse tra loro come le stampe africane ed indiane. Ma fortunatamente trrovare i capi per seguire questa tendenza non è troppo difficile nè troppo costoso, basta conoscere qualche trucco.

Cercate l'abbigliamento boho-style anni '70. I capi migliori sono camicette hippie, gilet e top crochet e maxi gonne, e potete trovare facilmente questi capi nei negozi di seconda mano e ai mercatini dell'usato. Ma mescolateli sempre a qualche capo moderno.

Cercate stampe vivaci, come quelle africane. Le potete abbinare a altre stampe anche molto diverse se vi sentite in grado di farlo, oppure potete indossarle da sole. L'importante è che si crei un contrasto tra la stampa ed il resto dell'outfit.

Abbellite i vostri capi boho più sobri con decorazioni come perline e frange.

Stratificate il vostro abbigliamento. E' l'essenza dello stile boho. Ad esempio potete indossare una tee, un gilet ed una sciarpa oppure una sottoveste sopra i pantaloni e così via. Ma tenete a mente che, nonostante gli strati, i capi dovrebbero rimanere tutti un pò larghi, quindi preferite tessuti leggeri.
Naturalmente evitate di andare al mare con troppi vestiti stratificati, altrimenti anzichè apparire trendy, rischiereste di farvi prendere in giro!

Cercate accessori vintage o accessori moderni con un design d'epoca. Indossate tanti braccialetti bangles e collane lunghe e sottili.

Indossate scarpe decorate ma semplici come le flip-flop che abbiano un look casual ma hippie-style.

Look for bold patterns such as the colorful clothing worn in many parts Africa. Pair these patterns with other patterns without regards to whether they match or clash. Purposely put together pieces in contrasting colors and patterns

Embellish plainer boho dress items with items such as beads and fringe. Use spangles and faux jewels to create a richer look for any boho item.

Layer your boho clothing finds. Wear two shirts and a scarf or a short skirt over pants or any other layered combination. Keep all the layers loose-fitting.
Don't go to overboard with layering your clothes, otherwise you might end up looking like a geek!

Wear jeweled shoes, or decorate a pair of flip-flops to give them a casual yet hippie-style look. Add rhinestones or jewels to the flip-flops, and wear them with toe rings.
