Quest’estate i pois erano ovunque, ma per l’autunno sono i motivi a quadri a prendere il sopravvento. 

E anche se ci si aspettava sempre uno o due motivi a quadri classici con l’arrivo del freddo, è giusto dire che per l’autunno/inverno 2026 le cose sono salite di livello. 

I motivi a quadri sono ovunque in questo momento e sono più grandi (letteralmente) e più belli che mai.

I pantaloni a quadri

Non riesco a resistere a un paio di pantaloni a quadri e il modello a vita alta e gamba a sigaretta è la mia silhouette preferita. 

Se anche voi amate i pantaloni (ma dalla linea sartoriale), date un’occhiata anche a culotte a quadri in misto lana. 

Questi pantaloni stanno benissimo abbinati anche alla magliera argyle decorata. 

Il perfetto “scacco matto”, per così dire.

I migliori kilt per l’autunno

Il ritorno in auge del kilt può probabilmente essere attribuito all’effetto «Traitors». 

Ogni anno vediamo Claudia con il suo Le Kilt, abbinato a stivali massicci e maglieria favolosa, e passiamo settimane a setacciare i negozi alla ricerca di un’alternativa tra i marchi di alta moda.

Ebbene, quest’anno i negozi delle maggiori catene di moda sono pronti. 

Si possono trovare kilt in ogni tonalità. Quest’anno la mia preferita è la rivisitazione contemporanea del kilt classico. 

Adoro le pieghe nitidissime, il motivo a quadri e il dettaglio della doppia fibbia. 

Da indossare con stivali al ginocchio e maglieria a trama grossa.

I maglioni a rombi

Il motivo a rombi è un intramontabile dell’autunno, ma quest’anno si è rinnovato, dalle versioni impreziosite alle varianti in stile Henley. 

Un maglione a rombi impreziosito da ricami si abbina perfettamente ai pantaloni in tartan dello stesso motivo.

Polka dots were everywhere this summer, but checks are taking over for autumn. 

And while we always expected a heritage check or three when the weather turns, it's fair to say things have gone up a notch for autumn/winter 2026. 

Checks are everywhere right now and they're bigger (literally) and better than ever.

The check trousers

I can't resist a checked trouser and a high-waisted, straight leg is my favourite silhouette.

 If you also love a good (yet tailored) trouser, go for checked, wool-blend culottes, which are currently. 

These trousers look great paired with embellished argyle knit. 

The perfect check-mate if you will.

The best kilts for autumn

The kilt's comeback can likely be attributed to the Traitors effect. 

Every year, we see Claudia in her Le Kilt with stompy boots and fabulous knits and spend weeks scouring the shops to find a high-street alternative.

Well, this year, the high street is prepared. You can find a kilt in every shade. 

My fav is the contemporary take on the classic kilt. I love the knife-sharp pleats, brown check and double buckle detail. Wear with knee-high boots and chunky knit.

The argyle knits

The argyle is an autumn perennial but this year, it's had an upgrade, from embellished versions to Henley twists. 

An embellished argyle would clash perfectly with the same motif’s tartan trousers.
