Le transizioni stagionali del guardaroba portano con sé delle sfide, ma si può sempre contare su una buona vecchia camicia per superare questi momenti di clima incerto.

La camicia infatti non solo è diventata un modo semplice per elevare il look - conosciamo tutti il potere della classica combo "jeans e un bel top" - ma è anche un pezzo forte a tutti gli effetti. 

Possiamo ringraziare Prada per aver rivitalizzato la reputazione pubblica della camicia, visto che propone ogni stagione una nuova iterazione della classica camicia in popeline strutturata. 

Che sia ricamata, con gioielli a contrasto o rifinita con strass, il marchio di lusso mette l'umile camicia in primo piano quando si tratta di styling, creando anche abbinamenti audaci con gonne di raso fluide o audaci micro-corti, e altri stilisti stanno seguendo l'esempio.

La collezione di debutto di Phoebe Philo, con il suo marchio omonimo, ha assicurato alla camicia un posto di primo piano, realizzando camicie in stile smoking con polsini allungati e colletti esagerati da annodare . 

Queste camicie sono state realizzate in cotone italiano e seta sontuosa, insieme a giacche di pelle chic  e top morbidissimi a collo alto.

In strada e nei guardaroba dello street style, questi tessuti fluidi e le nuove forme di sartoria abbondano. E ad oggi le nuove tendenze in fatto di camicie sono state nominate come punto focale di un outfit per alcune delle donne più eleganti in circolazione.

Naturalmente, con così tanti stili di camicie sul mercato in questo momento, dalle camicette drappeggiate e strutturate a quelle con maniche a sbuffo e peplum, può essere difficile sapere quale scegliere, soprattutto se le camicie sono un territorio nuovo. 

C'è ancora tempo per acquistare e indossare camicie da rugby o le consideriamo superate? 

I top in pizzo sono ancora eleganti o dovremmo prendere spunto dalle persone più cool di East London e indossare il tessuto come una gonna?

Le principali tendenze in fatto di camicie del 2025 danno priorità alla forma, adattandosi al corpo come nel caso della baby tee o portando un'aria di relax con le camicie in denim dal lavaggio indaco. 

Inoltre, stanno sperimentando nuovi tessuti: basti pensare alle camicie in pelle viste di recente sulle modelle diventate magnifiche Kendall Jenner e Hailey Bieber.

Seasonal wardrobe transitions bring their challenges, but you can always rely on a good old shirt to see you through these weather shifts.

Shirting has not only become an effortless way to elevate your look—we all know the power that "jeans and a nice top" holds—but it's a statement piece in its own right. 

We can thank Prada for revitalising this button-down's public reputation, with the Italian heritage brand delivering a new iteration of the classic structured poplin shirt each season. 

Be it embroidered with contrasting jewels or finished with rhinestone flourishes, the luxury label puts the humble shirt front and centre when it comes to styling, pairing various bold iterations with fluid satin skits or daring micro shorts, and other designers are following suit.

Phoebe Philo’s debut collection under her eponymous label ensured shirting had the spotlight, crafting tuxedo-style shirts with elongated cuffs and exaggerated collars you could tie up around your neck. These came in Italian cotton and sumptuous silk, alongside leather jackets that doubled as button-downs and liquid high-neck tops.

On the high street and in the wardrobes of the street style set, these fluid shapes and new forms of tailoring are abundant. Fresh shirt trends have been appointed as the focal point of an outfit for some of the most stylish women around.

Of course, with so many shirt styles on the market right now, from textured draped blouses to  peplum and puff-sleeve tie-ups, it can be hard to know which to go for, especially if shirts are new territory for you. Is there still time to purchase and wear rugby shirts, or are we considering them outdated now that our Saltburn-induced haze has worn off? Are lace tops still elegant, or should we take cues from the coolest people in East London and wear the fabric as a skirt instead?

The major shirt trends of 2025 prioritise form; either fitting the body as with the baby tee or bringing an air of relaxation via indigo-wash denim shirts. 

They’re also pioneering new fabrics—see the leather shackets recently seen on models-turned-moguls Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber.
