 Dal look preppy di Hailey Bieber, agli ospiti del Mese della Moda che hanno indossato i loro blazer da scolaretta con scarpe da ginnastica high-tech, fino alle scarpe da barca come elemento di base eccentrico e cool da centro città, la moda preppy è ufficialmente uscita dai ranghi.

Certo, tracce del classico preppy anni '80 sono ancora in gioco. 

Le piattaforme di shopping riportano che Ralph Lauren ha avuto un’impennata nelle ricerche negli ultimi mesi, un marchio che ha contribuito in modo determinante a creare i codici di abbigliamento preppy del decennio. 

Si tratta di un'impennata significativa per un marchio che in precedenza non era affatto così popolare.

Ma è quando i prodotti classici del marchio finiscono nelle mani degli appassionati di moda che l'estetica si distacca dalla tradizione.

Sure, traces of classic '80s prep are still in play. 

Shopping platforms reports that Ralph Lauren, a brand instrumental in crafting the decade's collegiate codes, as fashion's hottest brands, eclipsing cult favorites minimalists. 

That's a significant surge for a brand that previously wasn't on the bingo card at all.

When the brand's classic wares fall into the hands of fashion folks, that's when the aesthetic breaks from tradition.

Speaking of socks, they have become a crucial styling touch for the nouveau-prep look. 

Bieber, Bella Hadid, and Zoë Kravitz rarely leave the house without tall tube socks peering over their best loafers. 

Sheer knee-highs are the street style set’s favorite homage to their schoolgirl days, and bright red ankle socks are fashion TikTok’s favorite pop of color.
