La scorsa primavera, diverse case di moda hanno introdotto i calzini come accessorio importante, abbinandoli a tacchi alti e scarpe aperte. 

Gli stili spaziavano dai neutri sobri nelle collezioni maschili ai calzini riccamente ricamati ornati di perle e cristalli luccicanti. 

E questo autunno/inverno abbiamo visto ancora i calzini abbinati a scarpe col tacco alto. 

Per anni questa combinazione è stata considerata quantomeno buffa, ma dopo essere stata resa popolare da marchi come Prada, il look nerd-chic di calze e sandali è diventato più alla moda che mai. 

Bonus: è la soluzione perfetta per i periodi di transizione. 

Immergetevi nella tendenza attenendovi alle tonalità neutre o date il massimo per coordinare i colori e una serie di dettagli come pizzi, lurex e volant. 

Che scegliate calzini sportivi come quelli mandati in passerella da Dior, o capi audaci à la Gucci, trovare il paio di calzini giusti da abbinare alle vostre scarpe è più facile di quanto si pensi. 

Miu Miu e Prada hanno proposto una combinazione di calzini sportivi da uomo in contrasto con scarpe aggraziate. 

Anche Simone Rocha, nota per la sua femminilità sovversiva, ha cercato un netto contrasto nella sua ultima collezione: calzini tempestati di perle sono abbinati a robuste platform. 

Ma anche i collant hanno rubato la scena in varie collezioni durante la settimana della moda di Parigi. Last spring, various fashion houses have introduced socks as a major accessory, pairing them with high heels and open-toed shoes. 

Styles ranged from understated neutrals in men's collections, to richly embroidered socks adorned with pearls and shimmering crystals.

And this fall/winter, we're seeing again socks paired with high-heeled shoes. 

For years this combo was considered gauche, but after being popularized by brands like Prada, the nerdy-chic socks-and-sandals look is more fashion-forward than ever. 

Bonus: it's the perfect solution for transitional weather.

Dip your toes into the trend by sticking with neutral shades, or go all-out in coordinating colors and an array of details like lace, lurex, and frills.

Whether you go for athletic tube socks like those sent down the runway at Dior, or bold brights à la Gucci, finding the right pair of socks to pair with your sandals is easier than you think.

Miu Miu and Prada offer a combination of sporty men's socks contrasted with graceful shoes. 

Simone Rocha, known for her subversive femininity, has also strived for a stark contrast in her latest collection: pearl-studded socks are matched with sturdy platforms.

Tights also stole the show in various collections during Paris Fashion Week. 

This is nothing new, of course, since tights printed with logos (Gucci, Chanel, and Fendi to name a few) grew in popularity a few years ago.
