LO STILE VARSITY PER LA PRIMAVERA 2022

Lo stile preppy/varsity deriva dagli stili
storici americani, in particolare dai look di ispirazione collegiale.
Sebbene le prime versioni di questo stile riguardassero quasi esclusivamente l'abbigliamento maschile (nei
primi anni del 1900), il look è decollato anche per le donne negli anni '60.
All'epoca minigonne a quadri e
plissé, abbottonatura pulita e abiti dalle silhouette femminili divennero le caratteristiche principali di questo tipo di look.
Questi pezzi sono ancora le pietre miliari del revival del
preppy di questo decennio, ma ora sono stati inclusi anche articoli più neutri
rispetto al genere.
Aggiungeteci poi polo, gilet morbidi e
felpe oversize e non dovrete faticare oltre.
Volete
un outfit quotidiano che dica che la sapete lunga a rigurdo? Indossate una polo e
infilate il davanti nei jeans boyfriend. Per crediti extra, aggiungeteci scarpe da ginnastica dallo
stile retrò ed una bella giacca varsity.

Preppy/varsity style
comes from American heritage styles, specifically collegiate-inspired looks.
Though the first versions of preppy style were in menswear in the early 1900s,
the look took off for women in the 1960s.
At the time, plaid and pleated mini skirts, clean button-downs and dresses with feminine silhouettes characterized the look.
These pieces are still cornerstones of this decade’s preppy revival,
but more gender-neutral items are included, too.
Collars and
contrasting stripes are essential to pull off the preppy look.
Add polo shirts,
slouchy sweater vests and oversized sweatshirts to your style syllabus.
Want an
everyday outfit that says you understood the assignment? Pop on a polo shirt
and tuck the front into patchwork boyfriend jeans. For extra credit, add retro-athletic
sneakers and a varsity jacket.

Questo è uno stile che mi piace molto, avrei da ridire su sandali e decoltè con calzini ma è un'altra storia, per il resto potrei replicarlo con l'80% del mio guardaroba!!!

RispondiEliminaI just realized that varsity fashion and many other sub-trends related to it did a comeback in 2012-2013. I have a few garments from that era that maybe I could include into my style in the upcoming seasons. But this made me think that the cycle trends is getting faster, so just after 10 years the varsity vibes are back!
I can't complain. I just love the way plain colors, typography and the while lines make a feature and you can make a huge difference in your look by adding for example a varsity jacket or similar ;)
I loved the collection of pics in this! I am excited to see how the retro vibes attached to this trend make a huge entrance in the upcoming months!
