OOTD: Ins And Outs of The Oversized Trend 2020

Gli In e Out Della Tendenza Oversize 2020

-ITA-

  • IN: Super chic l'abbinamento di giacca over e gonna lunga.
Ma ricordate, less is more.

  • OUT: Troppi materiali e texture.

  • IN: The combo of oversized jacket and long skirt is super chic. Choose some nice colors and take even advantage of the contrast with the bag.
  • IN: How wonderful looks a total black outfit with a little touch of white? In this case, however, the textures of the garments must speak perfectly each other, to make the look super chic and urban at the same time. The shoulder bag will be the detail that give a modern touch to the whole look.
  • IN: A beautiful trench coat with a maxi belt that emphasizes the waistline and is suitable for any occasion. Perfect for the first autumn looks in combination with snakeskin boots and a burgundy bag.
  • IN: The men's style, which reminds us of Diane Keaton, is timeless. But to be perfectly successful, focus on a single garment that becomes the highlight of the whole outfit.
  • IN: The minimal becomes sporty and cool with details such as pouch and sneakers. But remember, less is more.
  • IN: The correct way to use soft fabrics like silk and strong colors like orange is to combine them with masculine suits and iconic pieces like a trench coat.
  • IN: Sporty chic can also be declined by wearing a camel coat and touches of red.

  • OUT: Too many materials and textures. Leather garments, for example, despite being a must of the season, always need a more minimal outline, which can play them down.
  • OUT: No to very short shorts with black tights, which, other than looking dated as a combination, it would only be suitable for a music festival.
  • OUT: Ethnic is reconfirmed as a trend of the season, but a coat in this style goes way too far. If it is a riot of textures, prints and colors, it is a garment to forget.
  • OUT: The colorful animalier is a trend of the past season still on fashion but better left in the closet if you want to combine it with the oversize trend.

  7. Hey Silvia,

Fan of this look! I like that you always stick to your style and to the real life, but adding a bit of interesting pieces and nice points that we could add as trends!

Playing with this trend is interesting and endless, sometimes you have to try over a lot of oversized pieces till you find the correct one like this one sweatshirt / sweater that is adorable, minimalistic but with an interesting detail that makes it so cool! Obviously you had to play with tighter pieces like the boots and the hat, that adds a lot of interesting since you are playing with the size of the garments, that's what I also do when I wear oversized pieces.... Oversized pants, then a tighter jacket to equilibrate ;)
