It's A Bra! It's A Top! It's Your New Summer Essential

Quando una tendenza arriva prepotentemente sulle passerelle, è di solito un'indicazione abbastanza chiara che la si vedrà ovunque entro i prossimi 6 mesi. 

A volte, tuttavia alcuni possono essere trend troppo difficili da indossare nella vita reale, quindi non vengono accolti bene dai rivenditori e non riecono a sfondare sulla scena dello street style. 

Quando però gli addetti ai lavori o le celebrità li sostengono, questo in genere solidifica la tendenza che si tradurrà molto più facilmente e  velocemente dalla passerella alla vita reale. 

Ed è esattamente ciò che sta accadendo in questo momento con la tendenza del top bra. Anche se sembrava difficile riuscire ad indossarli nella quotidianità, la tendenza è esplosa lo stesso.

Quindi, iniziamo a distinguere tra i vari tipi di bralette / top / reggiseni

• La bralette
  Una bralette è un tipo specifico di reggiseno che non presenta ferretti o coppe imbottite. Lo stile semplice è anche generalmente piuttosto pulito e delicato. Più comunemente, le bralette sono realizzate in pizzo, che ne esalta la delicatezza e la femminilità dell'aspetto. Tuttavia, ora  che sono state sdoganate anche come veri e propri top se ne trovano anche in molti altri materiali. Ovviamente le bralette non offrono lo stesso sostegno dei reggiseni normali, in particolare per le donne con un seno grande o poco tonico, però tendono a essere comode e molto attraenti. 
• Il top-bra
  Che si tratti di una versione più "grande" di un reggiseno sportivo o di una variante in felpa, cotone o anche annodato (che riunisce due tendenze in una), attualmente esiste un tipo di bra top per ogni esigenza (ovvero, in base a quanta pelle siete disposte a mostrare). Ci sono quelli abbinati con un pantalone o una gonna coordinati (sì, i set vanno ancora alla grande), ma si possono abbinare con i bermuda in stile revival degli anni '80, l'essenziale è che i pantaloni o la gonna siano a vita alta. Le buona notizia? Li potete tranquillamente indossare a pelle se vi ci sentite a vostro agio (dopotutto sono reggiseni) - ma è possibile anche indossare un reggiseno senza spalline o con i ferretti sotto se state cercando un po 'più di supporto.
• I reggiseni sportivi
  Con i migliori livelli di copertura e sostegno e la scollatura che ricorda quella delle canotte, i reggiseni sportivi sono stati indossati come top praticamente dalla loro stessa invenzione. Quest'anno però sono però rispuntati tutti i tipi di reggiseni sportivi di ritorno dal passato, con quelli di Calvin Klein in testa. 
• I reggiseni con i laccetti a vista
  Ad un certo punto pare che tutte abbiano avuto un’infatuazione per questi reggiseni ed abbiano deciso di iniziare a indossarli sotto canottierine scollate o camicie hawaiane sbottonate. L'idea qui è di sembrare molto vestita grazie alla camicia, e poi avere il tocco edgy del reggiseno che spunta con non chalance! 
• Bra top che passano per crop top
  Sono quelli che ti guardi allo specchio e pensi "questo è proprio un top!" sono praticamente riproduzioni in versione “reggiseno” halter top e camicette annodate

When trends hit the runway, it’s a pretty solid indication that they will be everywhere in 6 months. Sometimes, they can be challenging to wear in real life so aren’t embraced by retailers or on the street style scene. 

When fashion insiders or celebs endorse them with their latest stream of outfits, though, it solidifies the trend as one that will translate from the runway to real life. 

And that’s exactly what is happening right now with the exposed bra trend. 

While it sounds tricky to pull off IRL, there has been plenty of evidence that it’s about to blow up.

Then, let’s start to distinguish among the many kind of bralette/ bras/ bra tops

• The Bralette
• A bralette is a specific type of bra that does not feature wires or moulded cups. The simple style is also generally quite thin and delicate. Most commonly, bralettes are made of lace, which enhances their beautiful appearance. However, they are also available in other materials. While bralettes don’t offer as much support as regular bras, particularly for ladies with average to large breasts, they do tend to be comfortable and very attractive. Today, the stylish piece of lingerie is worn both under and over the top of garments to create a unique and fashionable look.
• The Bra top
• Whether a longer version of a sports-bra or a knit, linen, or tie-front variation (tackling two trends in one), there's a bra top for however much you're willing to bare. Paired perfectly with a matching pant or skirt (yep, sets are still going strong) or some of the season's '80s-revival bermuda shorts, bra tops are the essential you didn't know your high-waisted bottoms were missing. The best news? It's totally fair game to go braless if you're comfortable with it — but plausible to throw on a strapless bra or some stick-ons if you're looking for a tad more support.
• Sporty Bras
• With exceptional levels of coverage and necklines that remind you of tank tops, sports bras have been worn as tops since the invention of sports bras. This year, queers have been spotted in all manner of Calvin Klein throwback sports bras.
• Cage / Strappy Bras
• At some point everybody I know had a meeting and decided to start wearing these under their low-cut tank tops or heartily-unbuttoned Hawaiian shirts. The idea here is that you look very dressed in your shirt, and then if you start to feel the heat death of the universe trickling down your cleavage, just take your shirt off!
• Bras That Pass As Shirts
• Literally just put these on, look in the mirror and say to yourself “this is a shirt!” They are practically the reproductions in  "bra" version of halter top and knotted blouses.
