TRAVEL BLOG: A TRIP IN ANDALUSIA (SPAIN)

Hola gente! Come va? :)

Eccomi tornata dopo due entusiasmanti settimane in giro per la Spagna (in Andalusia per la precisione), pronta a raccontarvi, e soprattutto a mostrarvi, tutto quello che ho visto e fatto!

Ho visitato molte città: Siviglia, Cadice, Jerez, Malaga, Carmona, Cordova, Granada, Osuna e Aracena, e quella che sicuramente mi è piaciuta di più e mi è rimasta più impressa è stata Siviglia (che è anche la città in cui ci siamo fermati più a lungo).

Tutte questi paeselli e cittadine sono abbastanza vicini tra loro (al massimo ad un paio d’ore di auto di distanza) e collegati benissimo con treni e pullman, le strade sono larghe, ben tenute e poco trafficate, ed il panorama che si può ammirare durante gli spostamenti è meraviglioso: un distesa infinita di campi (per la maggior parte di girasoli) su una pianura a perdita d’occhio!
E sulle pochissime alture (che comunque sono sempre collinette basse) che di tanto in tanto si incontrano capita spesso di riuscire a trovarci la sagoma del toro, simbolo della regione.

 Hola people, how you doin?

Here I am, back after two exciting weeks I spent around Spain (Andalusia in reality), ready to tell you, and above all to show you, everything I've seen and done!
I have visited many cities during my vacation: Seville, Cadiz, Jerez, Malaga, Carmona, Cordoba, Granada, Osuna and Aracena, and the one that surely I liked the most and I was most impressed from is Seville (which is also the city where we stayed longer).
All these towns are fairly close to each other (at most a couple of hours drive away) and very well connected with trains and buses, the roads are wide well-kept and with little traffic, and the view that can be admired during the journeys it's wonderful: endless fields (mostly of sunflowers) as far as you can see! 

And on the very few hills (really very low hills) which you can occasionally meet, it is often possible to find the silhouette of the bull, the symbol of the region.

Ma parliamo del clima: inutile dire che è caldo, caldissimo, sempre, giorno e notte.
Nel pomeriggio le temperature raggiungono facilmente i 37-38°C, però è un caldo sopportabilissimo, per lo meno per chi, come me, è abituato al caldo umido ed afoso di Roma, tanto che non sentivo neppure la necessità di legare i capelli: vi dico solo che appena sono atterrata a Roma (ed erano le 10 di sera) ho avuto l’impressione di entrare in un forno, con tutto che le temperature erano decisamente più basse di quelle che avevo sperimentato in Spagna.

Il fatto è che il sole è caldo e forte, è vero, però il clima è secco, e la vicinanza con l’oceano garantisce ogni tanto delle folate di venticello fresco, quindi basta al limite stare un po’ all’ombra e si va tranquillamente avanti tutto il giorno, senza quel senso di affaticamento e sonnolenza che accompagna i momenti più caldi delle estati romane.

Comunque pare che per la maggior parte della gente (e degli altri turisti), quello fosse un clima torrido quindi i gestori di bar, ristoranti e negozi  hanno praticamente tutti dotato le tende di nebulizzatori che ti rinfrescano mentre passi, ed ecco spiegato il motivo per cui ho sempre i capelli gonfi nelle foto…..

Caldo a parte, un’altra cosa che mi piaciuta tantissimo è che il sole lì tramonta molto tardi, intorno alle 11 di sera (e c’è lo stesso fuso orario che da noi), per cui le giornate sembrano lunghissime (e hai l'impressione di cenare alle 5 del pomeriggio)!

But let's talk about the climate: needless to say, it's hot, very very hot, always, day and night. In the afternoon the temperatures often reached 37-38 ° C, but really it is a pretty bearable heat, at least for those who, like me, are used to the humid and sultry heat of Rome, so much so that I didn't even feel the need to tie my hair: think that as soon as I landed in Rome (and it was 10 pm) I had the impression of entering an oven, and the temperatures being decidedly lower than those I had experienced in Spain.
The fact is that the sun is warm and strong, it is true, but the climate is dry, and the proximity to the ocean guarantees from time to time fresh gusts of wind, so it is enough to limit yourself to stay in the shade from time to time and you can go on forward all day.
However it seems that for most of the people (and the other tourists), that was a torrid climate so the managers of bars, restaurants and shops have practically all equipped the curtains of their shops with nebulizers that cool you while you pass, and here is the reason why I always have swollen hair in the photos ...

Per quanto riguarda il cibo, l’andalusia offre un sacco di ottime specialità (le mie preferite sono la Paella e le Tortillas) anche sane, quindi non cì sono problemi, ad eccezione del fatto che in alcuni piatti usano tonnellate di aglio, per cui se, come me, non lo sopportate, informatevi bene prima di lanciarvi in sperimentazioni ardite.

L’altra cosa strana che si usa da quelle parti è mangiare le lumache come spuntino, con la birra!!!! Praticamente la posto delle noccioline lì prendono una ciotolina di lumache: tanto che io inizialmente nemmeno ci avevo fatto caso, ma poi le ho viste ovunque! Non le ho provate però, magari sono buonissime ma non fanno per me.

Ma adesso basta con le chiacchiere e vi lascio ad un primo round di foto tra le migliaia che ho scattato, nei prossimi giorni vi parlerò meglio dei luoghi che ho visitato!

Weather apart, another thing that I really liked is that the sun sets very late there, around 11 pm (and there is the same time zone as in Italy), so the days seem very long (and you have the impression to have dinner at 5 pm)!
As far as food is concerned, andalusia offers a lot of excellent specialties (my favorites are Paella and Tortillas) and healthy too so there are no problems, except for the fact that in some dishes they use a lot of garlic, so if you don't like it, it's a good idea to inquire before ordering.

The other strange thing that is used there is to eat snails as a snack, with beer !!!! Practically in the place of the peanuts there take a small bowl of snails: at first I didn't even notice it, but then I saw them everywhere! I didn't try them though, maybe they are very good but it isn’t  for me.
But now it's enough to talk and I leave you with a first round of photos among the thousands I took, in the next few days I'll talk to you better about the places I've visited!
