Sono passati 34 anni da quando *La storia segreta* di Donna Tartt ha scalato le classifiche dei libri più venduti e ha dato vita al sottogenere del “dark academia”.

E sebbene questa estetica sia tornata di moda all’inizio degli anni 2020, per quanto riguarda la moda, le passerelle della stagione primavera/estate 2026 hanno proposto un’interpretazione più delicata dello stile letterario.

Da Celine a Tory Burch, gli stilisti hanno presentato una visione intellettuale dell’abbigliamento quotidiano, che fosse funzionale ma non per questo priva di individualità.

Da Chanel, Matthieu Blazy ha rielaborato i codici della maison con twin-set in tweed, eleganti ma non leziosi, abbinati a collane a più fili e maglie leggere; nel frattempo, Miuccia Prada e Raf Simons hanno creato un'atmosfera più in stile uniforme con semplici gonne a trapezio e polo in maglia in ricche tonalità di bordeaux, blu navy e verde, abbinate a sciarpe di seta annodate al collo.

It’s been 34 years since Donna Tartt’s Secret History climbed to the top of bestseller lists and launched the “dark academia” sub-genre.

And while this aesthetic found itself thrust back into the zeitgeist in the early 2020s, when it comes to fashion, the spring/summer 2026 catwalks leant into a softer interpretation of literary styling.

From Celine to Tory Burch, designers presented an intellectual take on everyday dressing that was utilitarian yet by no means lacking in individuality.

At Chanel, Matthieu Blazy reworked the house codes with proper, but not prim, tweed twinsets styled with layered necklaces and lightweight knits, meanwhile Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons created a more uniform-coded vibe with simple A-line skirts and knitted polos in rich shades of burgundy, navy and green, paired with knotted silk neck scarves.
