LOOKS: How to Mixing Prints This Spring

 Come Abbinare Le Stampe Questa Primavera

I pois, le righe, i quadretti, i fiori e così via sono disegni che esistono da secoli, eppure ogni poche stagioni riescono a tornare in auge. 

Le collezioni primavera/estate 2023 non hanno fatto eccezione rispetto a questo fenomeno. 

Ma a differenza delle precedenti iterazioni di questa tendenza, che spesso avevano un'aria giovanile, abbiamo visto gli stilisti dare alle stampe un'aria più adulta, soprattutto attraverso dettagli ultra-graziosi. 

Per esempio, Molly Goddard ha reso più sexy un abito nero con le maniche a sbuffo e pois bianchi optando per uno chiffon trasparente.

Anche la tradizionale forma a clessidra è stata accentuata in abiti con maniche a campana e gonna a ruota di ispirazione anni '50, spesso impreziositi da due diversi tipi di stampa. E proprio l'ampio utilizzo di questa tecnica ha ricordato quanto possa essere bella.

Molte delle stampe più diffuse e che risultavano, in mancanza di descrizioni migliori, noiose, hanno subito una trasformazione. 

Abbiamo visto un allontanamento dagli abiti da picnic oversize in direzione di pezzi che giocano con la sartorialità e che mettono al centro dettagli romantici.

Polka dots, stripes, checks, florals and so on are designs that's been around for centuries, yet every few seasons, we manage to see it pop back up. 

The spring/summer 2023 collections were no exception to this phenomenon. 

But unlike previous iterations of this trend that often felt juvenile, we saw designers give to prints a more grown-up feel through ultra-pretty details. 

For example, Molly Goddard made a black puff-sleeve tiered dress with white polka dots sultrier by opting for sheer chiffon. 

Even the traditional hourglass shape was accentuated in a cap-sleeve dress that featured a '50s-inspired circle skirt embellished with two different types of prints. 

The wide usage of this tecnique was a reminder of just how pretty can be. 

Many of the prints that were very much of the belief that were, for lack of nicer descriptions, boring,had a transformation. we saw a shift away from oversize picnic dresses and toward pieces that played with tailoring and centered romantic details.
