Le tendenze principali delle collezioni primavera/estate 2025 parlano dell'idea di soft power, ovvero dell'uso della moda per influenzare, ammaliare, affascinare e sedurre. 

La stagione nel suo complesso è stata edificante, positiva e a misura di donna.

È stata una stagione in cui l'aria è stata l'elemento predominante e l'etereità ha abbondato. 

Lo chiffon fluttua e le maglie seguono con il corpo - il movimento è stato un altro tema chiave. 

Abiti simili a nuvole sono stati gonfiati con imbottiture da Comme des Garçons e Torishéju, mentre altrove, gonne a palloncino (decisamente più tradizionali) hanno dato un tocco di volume alla silhouette. 

Allo stesso tempo, il fascino dell'autunno per il 2D si è evoluto al punto che molti capi sembravano sfidare la gravità.

La presenza di plaid, tipicamente un tema autunnale/invernale, invece, parla della a-stagionalità del nostro mondo globale. 

Evoca anche il grunge e la sua conseguente etica del "esci così come sei".

• Sogno bohémien
• Il bohémien è tornato da un anno a questa parte, ma le migliori passerelle della primavera hanno portato l'estetica ispirata agli anni '70 in una direzione più sognante. Tessuti trasparenti e dettagli artigianali abbondano nelle collezioni di Chloé, Valentino, Fendi e Armani, che hanno puntato molto su perline e ricami, accompagnati da calzature più solide. L'atteggiamento si è esteso anche ai capelli; marchi come Elena Velez e Cucculelli Shaheen hanno adornato le ciocche delle modelle con nastri fluidi e gioielli d'oro. Se questo modo di vestire vi interessa, potete ottenere lo stesso effetto indossando una camicetta romantica con sandali in pelle scamosciata e lasciando i capelli scompigliati .
• Archetipi maschili
• Un gruppo di completi eleganti, tra cui quello indossato da Bella Hadid, ha lasciato il segno. Non si tratta più dello smoking da donna indossato senza nulla sotto. I completi ora sono accompagnati da camicie e cravatte. Al completo. Si tratta di controllo e potere, in un certo senso dominanza.
• Sport: aumenta il numero dei capi athleisure
• L'atmosfera sportiva che si respira nelle varie coppe di calcio, nelle Olimpiadi e nei Campionati del Mondo si è riversata nelle collezioni degli stilisti. Per la primavera, pensate alle giacche da tuta colorate viste da Miu Miu, GCDS e Tolu Coker, o ai cenni al "balletcore" di Ferragamo e Simone Rocha.
• Scuola preppy
• Un cerrto mood preppy decisamente americano ha dominato la moda negli ultimi anni e le prime passerelle del 2025 hanno dimostrato che è destinato a rimanere ancora a lungo. Ma, cosa fondamentale, nessuno di essi è interpretato in modo tradizionale: I colletti sono storti, le camicie tradizionali si trasformano in abiti, i pantaloni a pieghe sono dotati di cinture o gonne integrate. Questo look preppy e accademico consiste nel conoscere le regole e scegliere di infrangerle al servizio del proprio stile. Lasciate fuori la camicia o indossate i mocassini neri con i calzini bianchi: replicherete i trucchi di stile di alcune delle mie sfilate preferite, tra cui Prada e Bottega Veneta.

The top trends of the spring/summer 2025 collections speak to the idea of soft power – of using fashion to influence, beguile, charm, seduce and bewitch. 

The season as a whole felt uplifting, positive and women-friendly.

This was a season in which air was the predominant element and ethereality abounded. 

Chiffons floated and jerseys swung in unison with the body – movement being another key theme. Cloud-like dresses were buoyed with stuffing at Comme des Garçons and Torishéju, or actually inflated at Anrealage; elsewhere, more traditional balloon skirts puffed out the picture. 

At the same time, autumn’s fascination with 2D flatness evolved to the point where many garments seemed to defy gravity.

The presence of plaids, typically an autumn/winter theme, speaks to the a-seasonality of our global world. It also evokes grunge and its attendant “come as you are” ethos.

• Bohemian daydream
• Boho’s been back for a year now, but spring’s best runways took the ’70s-inflected aesthetic in its dreamiest direction yet. Sheer fabrics and handicraft detailing abounded in the Chloé, Valentino, Fendi, and Armani collections, which went heavy on beading and embroidery grounded by more solid footwear. The attitude extended to hair, too; labels like Elena Velez and Cucculelli Shaheen adorned models’ locks with flowy ribbons and gold jewelry. It’s all about layering sheer pieces and investing in vintage gowns, should that mode of dressing interest you—but you can get the same effect by, say, throwing on a romantic blouse with suede sandals and leaving your hair messy when you’re off to brunch.
• masculine archetypes
• A coterie of suited models – including Bella Hadid – set the tone. It’s not about when a tuxedo for a woman which was worn naked underneath. The suits come with shirts, ties. You’re dressed. It’s about control, and power, in a way.
• Get sporty: upping the game on athleisure staples
• The sporty mood imbued by various football cups, the Olympics and World Championships has trickled into designers’ collections. For spring, consider the block-coloured track jackets seen at Miu Miu, GCDS and Tolu Coker, or the nods to “balletcore” at Ferragamo and Simone Rocha.
• Prep school
• A distinctly American mode of prep has dominated fashion for the last few years, and 2025’s first catwalks only proved it’s here to stay. But crucially, none of it’s played quite straight: Collars are askew, traditional shirting doubles as dresses, pleated trousers sprout built-in belts or skirts. This preppy, academic look is about knowing the rules and choosing to break them in service of your own take on style. Untuck your shirt or wear your black loafers with white socks; you’ll be replicating styling tricks from some of my favorite shows, including Prada and Bottega Veneta.
