Non ci sono molti investimenti per il nostro guardaroba che siano più intramontabili o più duraturi di una bella camicia. 

Una camicia veramente buona dovrebbe durare tutta la vita e, quando si tratta di vestirsi nelle stagioni più calde, può rendere più elegante un look senza farci soffrire troppo il calore.

Che la si porti al parco (a volte usata come coperta), a cena e a ballare, infilata nella vita di pantaloni o gonne, lasciata aperta, sbottonata con un bel paio di jeans e un gilet bianco o vestita con gonna e tacchi a spillo, funziona in ogni caso. 

Ora, con l'arrivo del bel tempo, il mondo dello stile ha stabilito alcune regole per indossare la camicia quest'estate.

• Attenzione allo stile: la camicia in estate si porta con polsini arrotolati e alcuni bottoni slacciati, magari indossata con una minigonna impreziosita da decorazioni dorate e sandali con il tacco. Naturalmente, potreste tranquillamente abbinarla anche a scarpe da ginnastica e una borsa in tessuto, in ogni caso, per un'energia estiva da ragazza cool, una camicia bianca va sempre benissimo.
• Le abbiamo viste anche in passerella. Alla sfilata Gucci Cruise 2025 hanno sfilato i classici in cotone, con camicie bianche infilate in jeans a gamba larga a lavaggio medio. Da notare lo styling per un look più casual: capelli arruffati, occhiali da sole e un paio di ballerine, che aggiungono un tocco di disinvoltura, perfetto per i caldi pranzi pomeridiani o per le vacanze in città.
• Anche Miu Miu ci ha dato molti spunti per le camicie del 2024, continuando a seguire il carattere preppy sovvertito della collezione SS24. A Cannes in particolare si sono fatte norare le polo indossate sopra i modelli a righe. Questo look è caratterizzato da un mix di abbigliamento sportivo off-duty, con gonne da tennis e camicie sotto le maglie o varianti a righe larghe su boxer. Il look ideale per andare al parco o per passeggiare in città quando le temperature si fanno più elevate.
•   C'è anche una nuova tendenza camicia in città: il crop annodato. Potrebbe sembrare un flashback degli anni '80, ma può risultare sorprendentemente chic. Sebbene la tendenza sia sul versante super-cropped, c'è spazio per giocare con la silhouette. La buona notizia è che non è necessario acquistare nulla di nuovo: basta legare quella che si ha già.

There aren't many investments that you can make for your wardrobe that are more timeless or more enduring than a great shirt. 

A truly good one should last you a lifetime, and when it comes to warm-weather dressing, a shirt can smarten up a look without causing you to overheat.

It's been to the park (admittedly, sometimes used as a blanket), to dinner, and out dancing. 

Tucked in, left loose, unbuttoned with a great pair of jeans and a white vest or dressed up with a skirt and kitten heels, it works no matter what. 

Now, as the sunshine rolls in, the style set has set out some rules of thumb for warm-weather shirting this summer.

• Unsurprisingly, the first thing to note is the white shirt, but pay attention to the styling with rolled cuffs and a few undone buttons, maybe wore with a gold-embellished mini-skirt and black-heeled pumps. Of course, you could dress this down with trainers and a woven bag, but for cool-girl summer evening energy, a white shirt goes a long way.
• We've seen them on the runway as well. Crisp cotton classics were on display at the Gucci Cruise 2025 show, with white shirts tucked into wide-leg mid-wash jeans. Note the styling here for a more casual take: tousled hair, sunglasses, and a pair of ballet flats, which add effortless flare, perfect for warm afternoon lunches or city breaks.
• Miu Miu, too, provides the goods for 2024 shirting, continuing from the subverted preppy persona of the Italian label's SS24 collection. Over in Cannes at the Miu Miu Summer Club (yes, that was a thing), you can get plenty of inspiration, particularly polo t-shirts overtop striped styles. This 2024 shirting look is all about off-duty sportswear mixing, styling tennis skirts with shirts under jerseys or loose stripped variations over boxer shorts. The ideal look for heading to the park or strolling around town as the temperature heats up.
• There's also a new shirt in town: the knotted crop. This might sound like an 1980s flashback, but it can be surprisingly chic. While the trend airs on the super-cropped side, there's room to play with the silhouette. The good news is that it doesn't require buying anything new; just tie up what you already have.
• Whichever style you choose, a shirt is a wardrobe classic you won't regret, so be it cropped or left loose, stripped or crisp white, button up this summer.
