Se è vero che c'è sempre un posto per l'athleisure sofisticato nei nostri armadi, cioè per capi che funzionano tanto per la palestra quanto per gli aperitivi, gli stilisti sembrano aver portato questa categoria a un livello superiore. 

Per la stagione Primavera/Estate 2024, molti brand infatti hanno fatto sfilare look che andavano oltre i soliti leggings "fashion" o le scarpe da ginnastica cool, grazie a uno styling intelligente: basta pensare alle felpe abbinate alla vernice (da Gucci) o alle giacche atletiche slouchy sopra le gonne con orlo a fazzoletto (da Louis Vuitton).

Questo trend, apparentemente insolito, è stato uno dei miei preferiti di questa stagione, dato che ha offerto un modo giocoso e intelligente per rielaborare tutti quei capi comodi pensati per il 2020. Dopotutto, c'è sicuramente posto per l'abbigliamento pratico in questo nuovo mondo lavorativo ibrido in cui viviamo, ma questo non significa che dobbiamo andre in giro sciatte! 

Il senso di sorpresa e di piacere che deriva dall'abbinamento di silhouette casual e sportive con il loro esatto opposto si presta a un'estetica volutamente disinvolta (ovvero ciò a cui tutti gli appassionati di moda aspirano).

Inoltre una delle tendenze moda 2024 preferite è il ritorno dell'estetica preppy. 

Questa è direttamente legata alla serie di passerelle iper-popolari di Miu Miu, iniziata qualche anno fa con la gonna a pieghe micro-mini e culminata nella collezione di questa primavera in stile Gossip Girl.

A quanto pare anche altri stilisti si sentono in sintonia questo trend e continuano ad aggiornare i classici della scuola preparatoria come polo, giacche sportive e camicie button-down con un nuovo mood.

Ad es. in tutti i settori, i marchi stanno abbandonando le righe semplici per qualcosa di più giocoso, attingendo al lato sportivo della stampa; la tendenza colorata è una risposta rinfrescante all'ossessione della scorsa stagione per una tavolozza più tranquilla. 

Abbinabili a jeans semplici e a tee basic, queste righe sono destinate a trascendere le passerelle per tutto il 2024.

While there’s arguably always a place for sophisticated athleisure in one’s closet — i.e. access to pieces that work for the gym and drinks after — designers seem to be taking the category to the next level. 

For the Spring/Summer 2024 season, brands sent looks down the runway that went beyond your standard “fashion” leggings or sleek sneakers by way of whip-smart styling: think sweatshirts paired with patent leather (seen at Gucci) and slouchy athletic jackets atop handkerchief hem skirts (spotted at Louis Vuitton).

This seemingly miss-matched trend was one of my personal favorites this season as it offered a playful and smart way to rework my 2020-coded home staples. After all, there’s definitely something to be said right now about practical dressing in this new hybrid work world we live in — but that doesn’t mean we want to be boring! The sense of surprise and delight that comes with combining casual sporty silhouettes with their exact opposites lends itself to a certain purposefully effortless aesthetic (aka what all fashion people strive for).

One of the favorite 2024 fashion trends is the return of the preppy aesthetic. This one is directly tied to Miu Miu’s string of hyper-popular runways, starting a few years ago with that micro-mini pleated skirt and culminating in this spring’s Gossip Girl–esque collection. Other designers are feeling the look too and updating prep-school classics like polo shirts, track jackets, and button-down shirts with a new attitude.

Casual daywear has a preppy/sporty new mood as designers reimagined the classic polo and rugby shirts.

Across the board, brands are retiring streamlined stripes for something a little more playful, tapping into the sporty side of the print, the colourful trend is a refreshing retort to the past season’s obsession with a quieter palette. Styling well with easy denim and basic tees, these wearable stripes are set to transcend the runways in 2024.
