Sembra quasi esagerato un amore così diffuso per per il glamour, ma in quale altro modo riassumere il profondo desiderio di tornare ad uscire, di giorno e di sera?

Paillettes, maglia metallica, tessuti luccicanti, cristalli e stili pesantemente decorati hanno strabordato sulle passerelle non appena si è accennato all’esonero da blocchi e restrizioni di vario genere.

Essere overdressed è incontrovertibilmente diventato un problema del passato.

METALLO LIQUIDO

Questa e la prossima stagione vedono un nuovo modo di creare bagliori senza bisogno di paillettes, che spesso però sono anche molto dannose per l'ambiente.

Piuttosto possiamo ottenere la stessa lucentezza tramite riflessi di metallo liquido; una versione molto più sottile, più adulta e contemporanea del luccichio.

Prevalentemente - ma non esclusivamente - in oro e argento, questi sogni luccicanti danno una sensazione di metallo fuso tramite tessuti lussuosi e scintillanti che scivolano sul corpo.

SUPER BRILLANTE

Ecco una tendenza più adatta a chi vuole tornare a divertirsi con la moda dopo aver trascorso la maggior parte degli ultimi due anni indossando tute e leggins: i tessuti super velati e brillanti stanno avendo un vero momento di gloria questa stagione.

Naturalmente devono anche essere abilmente stratificati, rendendo questa tendenza una delle più flessibili per la stagione.

Sequins, chainmail, sparkling mesh, crystals and heavily-embellished styles abounded on the catwalks as sweet release from challenging lockdowns beckoned.

Being over-dressed is incontrovertibly a thing of the past.

LIQUID METAL

Next season sees a new way to do metallic spangle without the need for sequins – which are often very damaging for the environment.

Instead get your shine via liquid metal sheens; a far subtler, more grown-up and contemporary take on shimmer.

Predominantly – but not exclusively – found in golds and silvers, these sheeny dreams create a molten metal feel as luxurious, shimmering fabric appears to be falling around your body.

SUPER BRIGHT SHEER

Perhaps a trend best-suited to those looking to have fun with fashion again after spending the best part of two years wearing tracksuits, super bright sheer fabrics will be having a real moment in the sun this season.

Of course they can be cleverly layered to protect modesty, rendering this trend one of the most flexible for the season.
