OOTD: Tenniscore Is Still Our Top Trend Even For Fall 2022

L'athleisure è stata una tendenza importante nelle ultime stagioni, con molti marchi che hanno creato le proprie versioni di leggings, felpe, scarpe da ginnastica e altro ancora. 

Una delle attrattive principali di questo movimento è il mood rilassato: non è necessario essere atletici per star bene in athleisure. 

E questa stagione c'è un nuovo tipo di athleisure: il tenniscore. 

Sempre più marchi stanno creando collezioni che si appoggiano al design retrò e all'estetica dei country club degli anni '80, attingendo allo stile inconfondibile dei ricchi universitari preppy. 

Le minigonne da tennis stanno creando molto scalpore sui social media già da almeno un anno, in particolare tra i consumatori più giovani. 

Il loro successo può essere attribuito alla loro estetica retrò, ma civettuola, che rappresenta la pietra angolare del movimento tenniscore. 

Su TikTok, migliaia di video spiegano come abbinarle o addirittura come realizzarle, e su Instagram celebrità e influencer stanno promuovendo le loro gonne da tennis di marca preferite. 

Insieme alla gonna da tennis, le sneakers bianche sono il paio di scarpe più amate da tutti: quasi tutte le marche le producono, ci sono nuove versioni ogni stagione e si abbinano a ogni outfit. 

E le scarpe da ginnastica bianche, non solo sono un abbinamento ideale per quasi tutti i capi nell’ armadio, ma sono anche emblematiche del tenniscore, poiché i giocatori, maschi e femmine, le indossa(va)no spesso in campo. 

Quindi, sono diventate un abbinamento comune con gli abiti da tenniscore, che include ovviamente la anche gonna da tennis. 

Il tenniscore è una sottocultura del movimento athleisute e i trend forecaster prevedono perfino un implemento del genere nelle stagioni a venire. 

Per ora, basta guardare al simbolo del movimento tenniscore, la gonna da tennis, per essere certi del suo successo.

Athleisure has been a major trend for the past few seasons, with brands creating their own versions of leggings, sweatshirts, sneakers, and more. A main appeal of this movement was the leisure aspect — you don’t need to be athletic to rock athleisure.

So this season, there’s a new kind of athleisure: tenniscore.

More and more brands are creating collections which lean into  retro designs and 80’s country club aesthetics, drawing from the signature style of wealthy preppy universitarians.

It's been almost a year that the tennis mini skirts are creating quite the buzz across social media, particularly among younger consumers. Their success can be chalked up to their old-fashioned, yet flirty aesthetic, representing the cornerstone of the tenniscore movement. 

On TikTok, thousands of videos explain how to style them or even how to make them, and on Instagram, celebrities and influencers are promoting their favorite branded tennis skirts.

Along with the tennis skirts, white sneakers are everyone’s trusty pair of shoes — nearly every brand makes them, there’s new versions every season, and they match with every outfit. 

While white sneakers are an ideal pairing for nearly every outfit in one’s closet, they’re also emblematic of tenniscore, as players — male and female — often wear them on the court. Since, they’ve become a common coupling with tenniscore outfits, of course including the tennis skirt. 

Tenniscore is a subculture of the athleisure widespread movement, and the trend forecasters predict more of the genre in seasons to come.

For now, we can look to the symbol of the movement, the tennis skirt, to rest assured of its success in 2022.
