Le ragazze francesi prendono molto sul serio le vacanze, quindi è logico che vogliano trascorrere il minor tempo possibile a scegliere cosa indossare nelle giornate in piscina o in spiaggia.

Tuttavia quel tipo di preparazione richiede un pò di esperienza e di abilità, e in modo molto simile ad una capsule collection, si basa sulla semplicità e sulla praticità.

Le donne francesi tendono a rinunciare al trucco in favore di protezione solare (ovviamente), rossetto e forse un po 'di mascara - e lo stesso vale per le loro scelte di abbigliamento. Optano per il concetto “minimo sforzo massima resa” in modo da poter massimizzare il tempo trascorso a ricaricare le batterie.
Quindi vediamo quali sono alcuni degli elementi chiave che possono salvarci dallo stress da preparazione della valigia.

• L'ABITO A PORTAFOGLIO
  L'ho già detto, ma vale la pena ribadirlo: uno degli stili di abbigliamento più versatili che potete indossare in estate è l’abito a portafoglio: sono facili, femminili e ti mantengono fresca anche alle temperature più elevate. Questo capo inoltre funziona egregiamente anche come copricostume per la spiaggia. 
• LA BORSA DI PAGLIA
  Questo tipo di borsa è davvero multifunzione (la si può usare come bagaglio a mano o portarla in spiaggia, o ancora riempirla con gli oggetti essenziali per visitare una città) ed attualmente è più di moda che mai. Inoltre, sarà altrettanto utile a casa come borsa per la spesa al supermercato. Resa famosa da Jane Birkin, perennemente chic, il suo fascino senza tempo significa che è anche un oggetto su cui possiamo permetterci di investire. 
• IL LBD
  Non sottovalutate il potere del piccolo vestito nero in estate. E’ vero che tutte amiamo indossare il bianco in vacanza, ma è probabile che con la crema solare, il sudore e la sabbia il bianco si sporchi velocemente, quindi un vestito nero semplice ma elegante è un importante aggiunta al nostro arsenale, senza contare che per la sera diventa très chic con solo l’aggiunta di un bel rossetto rosso. Sceglietene una versione leggera in cotone o lino, che può essere facilmente abbellita con accessori e tacchi alti. 
• LE ESPADRILLES
  Le espadrillas sono un altro must dello stile francese per i mesi più caldi. Peersonalmente le adoro, le ho sempre indossate fin da quando ero un bambina sia in città che in molte vacanze estive al mare, e da allora non mi hanno più lasciato i piedi in estate. Non solo si possono indossare ovunque ma sono anche probabilmente le scarpe più comode da portare durante la bella stegione. Mi raccomando soprattutto di investire in una un paio nero e uno crema perché andranno davvero con ogni capo estivo che possedete.

But that kind of preparation takes some skill, and much like a Parisian’s capsule wardrobe, holiday packing errs on the side of simple and streamlined.

French women tend to give up on make-up in favor of sunscreen (obviously), lipstick and maybe some mascara - and the same goes for their clothing choices. They opt for minimum fuss so they can maximise time spent recharging batteries.
So here are some key elements that will save you from any stress in preparing your suitcase.

• THE WRAP DRESS
  Starting with the wrap dress: one of the most versatile dress styles you can wear in. They’re easy, breezy and will keep you cool in higher temperatures. This silhouette also works brilliantly as a beach cover-up.  
• A STRAW BAG
  A multi-functional bag (use it as a carry-on or take it to the beach and fill it with essentials for sightseeing) isn’t going out of style any time soon. Plus, it will be just as useful bag home for any supermarket trips. Made famous by the perennially chic Jane Birkin, its timeless appeal means it’s also an item you can afford to invest in. 
• A LBD
  Don't underestimate the power of the little black dress in the summer. It is true that we all love to wear white on vacation, but white will get dirty fast, so a simple but elegant black dress is an important addition to your packing arsenal and looks très chic in the evening with a bright red lip. Choose a lightweight cotton or linen version, which can be dressed up with heels.
• ESPADRILLES
  Espadrilles are a style staple in France and Parisians’ go-to shoes for the warmer months. I, for example, have worn them since I was a child both in the city and in many summer vacations spent playing at the beach, and since then they have never left my feet in the summer recommend investing in one black pair and one cream pair because they will go with every summer item you own. Not only are they the wear-anywhere summer style, but they’re also possibly the most comfortable shoes you’ll walk in.
