GOTHIC FAIRYTALE

I have to admit it, I am not a fanatic of dark or Gothic style, and really rarely I wear a total black look, but before Halloween I'm totally attracted to this world, which has much more fascinating than you might imagine
The "dark fashion" originates from colors and cuts of old times, in particular takes clothing and accessories borrowed from the Victorian fashion, which is one of his most important sources of inspiration: it is done of rigorously black or Crimson dresses, studs or cloaks, amphibians, and boots, corsets and bodices
The Gothic fashion is more a thought that a style, it depends on who wear it and, as it is internalized and reworked, it can be elegant or extravagant and questionable taste.
In addition, music and literature play an important role, in fact it is just by the famous local Batcave from London where born the gothic English, a punk variant of this style, "fouled" from rock strokes: dresses stiff with studs, pants, skirts, leather laces and makeup for men, torn fishnet stockings and exaggerated hair styles.
The gothic-lolita Style  instead has its origin from the streets of the bigger Asian cities: this is a genre that tends to exaggerate the "doll" side of Victorian look, then wants trine, ringlets and bows in profusion.
And finally it has to be considered all the influence that goes from the Romantic period to Tim Burton, which is reworked in all its possible variants ... so if you're looking for inspiration for the Halloween evening  there is plenty of choice! :)

  10. I typically wouldn't wear anything 'gothic' styled either but I do love the sultry feel of the dark, mysterious colors and corset like fits. The cages and feather are super cool in your photos.

  13. I love the idea of dressing up in ghostly, Victorian garb for Halloween. I particularly like the pieces of photo inspiration above of the lady dancing with the skeleton and the girl with the teased hair in the sequin dress. Have a great start to the week! :) -Jennifer
